Ladies Retreat "God is working in our little country of Bulgaria. While the church work is in a very difficult situation, we attempt to share the gospel in new mission fields, establish new churches, encourage believers, conduct Bible schools, etc. "As to establishing new churches in Bulgaria and increasing our membership, 24 new churches were established, 8 new mission fields were opened, and our membership increased by 703 members. Summarizing the Christmas ministry results, 219 new people were reached by the giving of Christmas parcels and lunch, 37 homebounds were visited and received food parcels, 31 people received Jesus as their personal Savior, 19 individuals were baptized in water and 2 doors were opened for establishing new churches "Please remember our prayer needs: encouragement of our pastors; growth in the newly-organized churches; healing of the sick and desperate people; funds to supply pastors' material and ministerial needs; success of newly-organized churches and Bible schools; repairs for three church buildings; purchase of two new church buildings; and for the orphans. Peter Georgief National Overseer EUROPE/MIDDLE EAST Clayton Entecott General Presbyter Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) The greatest growth that our ministry in Europe has ever seen is occurring today in the Ukraine and surrounding nations. Oblast (District) Overseer, Brother Victor, shared briefly but enthusiastically in the European Conference about the work and ready harvest in his area of the Ukraine. His zeal was so high that he was almost preaching as he reported the growth and hungry harvest all around them. In his oblast they have seen 26 new churches planted in the last two-and-one-half years. Before the year 2000 is over, he projects they will open 20 more. His local church has 500 members and has the vision that by the end of year 2000 they will have planted a church in every village surrounding the city-14 in all. They have already planted in 11 cities, and that vision is nearing completion. France "Please accept our sincere appreciation and gratitude for your donation in support of the work in France. I give praise to God for His working in this area. "The recent convention was a wonderful success, and the presence of the Lord was with us throughout the two days in a most powerful way. We had a record attendance of more than 600! The church in France is on a path for much growth. "We recently organized a new church with 65 members. Presently, we have 303 members, and the three churches are preparing new converts for membership. Your prayers and material support are needed for our brethren ministering in the area. "Our special project for France is to replace one of the bishop's vehicle that has been stolen." Lesmon R. Thank you, also, for the financial help. It is being used to sustain our pastors, ministers, and other churches. Thank you for continuing to pray and support the work we are doing. Your help is a great blessing and, consequently, we are able to reach many people. "Presently, there are four mission works in Spain. Nine new members were added to the Murcia Church, and six persons have given their lives to the Lord. The church in Baixa da Banheir also received two new members. "Our missionaries, Ximo and Judy, traveled to Finland and ministered on 20 different occasions in tent meetings and church services. They also gave children's concerts and had the joy of seeing people come to the Lord and others returning to their first love. "The church in Portugal continues to work for the Lord, in spite of the difficulties they encounter. The brethren continue fighting for the faith. "We thank all the churches who are our partners.
