The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel in a month or less, and you just WRITE it. You don't plan it, or try to edit it. Just write. It's very freeing.
  • The OpenDiary - A free, online journal.

  • Photobucket - Great free online photo hosting site.

  • Fortune Cookies - Take whatever your fortune is, and add, "In Bed" to the end. Hilarity ensues.
  • Funny Emails - This guy collects the random stuff that gets mailed around the internet in one place. It's pretty amusing.
  • Giggles - This is my internet pet, Giggles the Hampster. She's cute. You can feed her. And she runs on a wheel. And that's about all she does. You can get your own pet, though. They have a whole bunch of different choices.
  • Haloid - A movie done by a fan, about who Masterchief REALLY is. Featuring Samus!
  • How To Be an Evil Warlord - A collection of over a hundred "tips" to being an evil warlord, villian, or other nasty. I personally like # 29: "I will dress in bright and cheery colors, and so throw my enemies into confusion."

  • Rainbow's End - An online novel a friend linked me to. It's pretty good, but I've yet to finish it. Don't tell me the end!

Webcomics!

These things are great. What better way to waste most of a day than to catch up on all your comics at once?

  • Diesel Sweeties - Pixalated robot romance webcomic. No really, that's what it says!
  • ExplodingDog - A guy named Sam will draw a picture based on a sentence or story you tell him. Usually they involve stick figures, aliens, green monkeys, outer space, and Red Robot.
  • Giant In The Playground Games Presents: The Order of the Stick - It's stick figures, plus dungeons and dragons, plus cynisism! How could it get any better?
  • Looking For Group - Is it World of Warcraft? Is it Disney? Is it Dungeons and Dragons? Nobody knows, but it sure is cool.
  • MegaTokyo - Fred does some awesome stuff in this strip about two American boys stuck in the land of the Rising Sun. With magical girls, zombies, and robots built out of cardboard boxes. Oh, and a healthy dose of Emo.
  • A Softer World - Not technically a comic, this imaginative author uses photographs and type-written one-liners to convey a sense of loss and wonder. I especially like the duckies.
  • Something Positive - Bleak cynisism with a touch of humour, romantic violence, and a silly-putty cat.
  • xkcd - A webcomic for nerds and geeks, by nerds and geeks, and usually involving stick figures, math jokes, and confusion about love.
