The Anne Arundel County on Disability Issues is an advisory committee that is made up of volunteers and a representative from various organizations from different parts of the county. The committee advises and counsels the County Executive on issues concerning the 114,000+ people with disabilities who live in Anne Arundel County.
The Commission evaluates businesses and other entities that are private and public to find out if they are disability friendly and barrier free. Any business that is evaluated and meets these requirements can receive an award that will be given by the County Executive during the Disability Awareness Day event.
The Home page is an introduction to the site explaining where and when Disability Awareness Day will be held, along with a list of particpating vendors. The Message page is a place to send messages or comments to the web page designer. The Picture page has pictures of previous events. On the Award Winners page, there is a list of businesses that have recieved awards from previous events. Anyone can volunteer a business to be evaluated, all you have to do is go to the Event Form page and download the appropriate form, fill it out, and send to Bill Anderson.
All requests or questions are to be directed to Bill Anderson, ADA Coordinator for Anne Arundel County, at 410-222-4383 or send him an email Bill Anderson.
