Please be polite and ask him to take action by helping Annie. Also request that he helps to introduce measures to end the keeping of wild animals in circuses in the forthcoming Animal Welfare Bill.

Annie is a 52 year old Asian elephant, she is the oldest elephant in the UK and is currently still appearing at the Bobby Roberts Super Circus.
Annie is no longer able to perform in the circus ring, though people are charged �4 (approximately $7) to have their photograph taken with her.
Footage taken in April this year has shown that Annie suffers from arthritis. Her back legs have swollen and her walk is described as ''stilted'' by the Born Free website.
Annie's circus life is spent travelling, appearances, time off in the off-show tent, exercise in the temporary paddock and time spent at her winter quarters.
Annie should be retired now and animal welfare organisations such as Born Free are calling for her to be independantly examined by a welfare assessment group.
Originally, Annie did work with a number of other elephants who'm unfortunately died

If you are a UK or Scottish resident you can write to your MP or MSP and request that they support the ESM 468 or for Scotland S2M -2282 on circuses which is a Government measure to bring into force a ban on keeping any wild animals in UK circuses, which is the animal welfare bill.
