Storm Watch
By Jonathan Storm
Well...here I am between Spain and Japan...figuring out what to say to
everyone in my first column for The Dirtsheet...I guess I'll start at the
beginning.
First off, I'm perfectly fine. I had some stitches, but other than that, I
managed to survive the second OCW deathmatch I've ever been in. Pru took
the brunt of the glass shot, and for that, I'm sorry. Despite our 'on-air'
relationship, we get along great. He's my best friend, and above all else,
one hell of a pool player. As a matter off fact, the Collins family is
pretty tight. I'll be honest though...it's kinda scary how much we get
along.
Anyways, watching this pay per view gave me a new found respect for the
company I call home. Guys like Messiah and Nightmare busting their butts
off for the main event. Skie Taylor taking that HUGE splash Messiah gave
her...even Rune and Azazel for the work they did in their match. All I can
say is that I've never seen the locker room this tight in my whole year in
the company. A lot of guys said a lot of things to poison morale, but to be
honest, this is wonderful. Everyone deserves the accolades they got.
Look at the outlook. We got Spiral, we got NOTHING, Julian, Rune, Loco,
Shawn Hunter (kudos to you, bro!), and of course, me (where would we be
without good ole' JC?)! This is a fine nucleus of talent, blended in with
the youth of Points of Authority, Angel, Spyke, Nightmare, and Messiah. Mix
in a presence like Sigel, along with Virus, and you have a locker room
loaded with present and future stars. I don't think anyone could possibly
argue with this mix, not even our detractors.
Anyways, as far as my personal life goes...Ashlee is taking some time off
again. She needs the rest, plus I know she's leaving in a few weeks for a
photo shoot for a 2002 calendar. Great. Millions of teenage boys will be
waking up to what I wake up to every morning. I'm just kidding Ash...you're
beautiful...and I love ya lots.
That's about it from me this week...I'll rent some tapes, catch up with my
boys in the EWA and NPWA, and come back with something profound to say.
Love, Peace, and Chicken Grease...
