IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Dirtsheet Reopening Imminent?

By Ryan "Camel" Cuddihy

God, what a couple of months this has been.

We saw an Invasion go from the biggest angle this side of the Rebellion, to disappearing with one signature.

We saw upsets galore in the title scene, we saw veterans slain by newcomers, unlikely pairings of bitter enemies, and the first open invitational in circuit history.

And we saw a team come from nowhere to win a tournament that was full of upsets and shocks.

But mostly, we saw a publication that was enjoyed by many fall into the shadows of nothingness and nearly disappear.

I am here to announce that the Dirtsheet will not die. I just won't let it. Why?

What the hell else am I gonna do?

The Dirtsheet is officially reopening. The core staff has changed, as it is... well, me. Joe and Steve have kinda disappeared (well, they're around, but they're not around, if you know what I mean), and there are many other former staff members who not only haven't shown up at the Dirtsheet office, but haven't even called (and I've been waiting for hours next to the phone! Josh Norton, call me, for crying out loud!). So, I took it upon myself to pool my resources and officially buy the Dirtsheet for myself. Now, I'm gonna run it the way I want to. And who's gonna stop me? Only you.

That's right, you. The readers, and more importantly, the writers. WE NEED STAFF. During this hiatus, I heard from approximately one person who said they'd write. They got the job if they're willing to give me an article a week. Same thing for anyone else who wants to write for us. I have no problem putting your words in this publication, long as they're written down.

And that's just regular staff. I happen to like putting up guest articles every week as well, because they lend a touch of color to an otherwise boring publication (no offense to anyone but me). Those of you who don't want a regular position, but wouldn't mind writing articles either, hit me up. I'd be more than happy to put a one-time, or monthly article, or whatever, up.

So, I want YOU. If you wanna write, let me know. E-mail me at [email protected] and I'll get back to you, really, I will. Those of you who have talked to me recently regarding the 'sheet, e-mail me too, just to be on the safe side. Those shots to the head really do something to your memory, ya know.

Camel out, hopefully not for long.

And yes, Backstage Pass will be returning. I just can't not do it.
