PRESS RELEASE: EWA News: Nukeman's Final Match?, Two Debuts
JUNE 20, 2001 - Philadelphia, PA.
These news bites were given to us courtesy of Mindwipe Entertainment, Inc., and EWA Enterprises.
~ 'The Innovator Of Destruction' Nukeman, hardcore legend and former CWA World Heavyweight Champion, will apparently be wrestling his last match tonight. Since his return to the ring when the EWA re-opened, Nukeman has seemingly been a shadow of his former self. Rather than continue to wrestle the way he has, he has apparently chosen to retire.
Sources in the EWA are informing us that the retirement will be low-key, and will not be announced on War, as Nukeman doesn't want to bring any hype to his leaving. He apparently would prefer to go out quietly into the night.
Nukeman started his career in the AWT, ran by John Solley. He went on to great hardcore fame, and captured the CWA World Heavyweight Title at the height of its fame.
~ Word has it that two major superstars are scheduled to appear tonight on Wednesday Night War. Our sources are currently backstage at the First Union Center in an attempt to cover this situation more thoroughly.
Speculation is running rampant that one of these men is the masked man that has attacked Sean Boden in recent months. In addition to this, an unusual black limousine has been spotted outside the First Union Center - one that is not usually at EWA events - with the license plate NW YRK 1.
The Dirtsheet will keep our readers up to date on these reports as the information comes in.
