Weekend Update
-Weekend update here. And what a week it was. Leading into COTC and DEvine Intervention things look big. Now to the breakdowns of the week!!
-NYSWF's rating continue to steady after a sharp bottoming out. UAN went up a bit this week, pulling a 1.4 in the Nielsens while Heat did a 1.6. It's not pretty but the clouds seem to be scattering, as usual in New York.
-NPWA rocked the house again. A clean 5.0 for Sabotage and a 5.5 on Malice. Is wrestling hotter than ever since Changurda returned? You bet your ass!
-As far as the EWA goes, it's not slumping, but it's getting take off speed. War this week did a 4.3 average. High quarter hour marks came during the Main Event match where Raven became the new champion.
-Now onto rumorville/updates for this week. Seems like things are quiet thus far. The same sponsors of Kade Mikado are talking with NPWA to bring in a new wrestler from the same dojo. Speaking of Mikado, he's looking at a possible lucrative deal to sign with So-Cal enterprises. In a day and age where who owns you plays a factor in where you go, this is a big move for such a young star.
-Matt Hoffman is said to be looking into stepping out of the ring. He suffered another severe concusion in his match against Kanyon. The effects are just now being felt, and some say it's not good news. Let's hope Hoffman recovers fully.
-The EWA talent staff has been looking at some new applicants. Recently some familliar faces from feds past were spotted at EWA house shows. We aren't allowed to release any info on this, as most of it is most likely false rumors. But keep any eye out. Speaking of the EWA, Steve Myers, former CWF President, is said to be thinking about stepping down from the booking committe. The EWA Headquarters denied to speak with us about any of this and called it all silly alligations.
-Could Boden's sudden jump into the main event mean a push for Four Part Disharmony? Who knows. But this week, the 3 house shows lined up feature Boden against TGO of all things. And when two men met in a house show, it's usually to work out kinks for future programs.
-Might wanna check out the NYSWF for more than just the entertaining Loco/Baio/Sigel vignates. Apparently some big stuff will go down at the supercard. Let's hope so, as the NYSWF needs something right now.
-"an inside source has revealed tensions between Evan Douglas and Clarissa.. rumours say.. it involved Haywood Jublome.."
-Rumors still fly that Chang received an offer from Playboy. No comments here......(GREYHOUNDS)
-Apparently Latino Powers Manny the Mule had a bad case of the runs this week. Backstage at NPWA...the reported damage resulted in a lost camera and Micheal Draven's wrestling attire. Luckily he had another set.
-Like I said, slow week this week....NPWA and EWA have each sold out thier upcoming weeks, and throughout June. As expected. Look for more news and notes this time next week. Till then...
-Peace
