Dark Nation Sits Down With Jonathan Storm
Dark Nation: October 16, 2001
Below is a transcript of an interview between Dark Nation, and former NYSWF Television Champion, Jonathan Storm.
Dark Nation: Hello all. Dark Nation reporting
yet again. Welcome everyone to another addition of the Dirtsheet. I'm here now
with one of the brightest stars in the league today, Mr. Jonathan Storm. Jon,
thanks again for this interview.
Jonathan Storm: Hi, Nation... nice to see ya.
Dark Nation: Jon, I know what everyone is
probably thinking... you probably do too.. How's it been going?
Jonathan Storm: It's going as well as it can be.
Career wise, I'm not where I'd love to be, but personally, I'm having a very
charmed life, and I'm loving it immensely.
Dark Nation: You know, that actually sounds
quite good compared to what I was about to jot down as an answer. Life is
beautiful, you say?
Jonathan Storm: As well as it can be. You take
the good in with the bad, Nation...and I'm trying to keep focused on the good.
Having Helena around has really been a breath of fresh air...she's quite real,
and I like that.
Dark Nation: Well, what can you expect? You're
quite the charmer to most of the valets. She's been feeling alright though?
Jonathan Storm: Helena isn't my valet, Nation.
She's just a friend of mine. We've gone out on a few dates, but nothing too
spectacular.
Dark Nation: Oh no, I didn't intend that. I
just meant according to the valets, you are quite the charmer.
Jonathan Storm: Well thank you...
*smiles*
Dark Nation: No problem. Getting back to the
career-side of things, how are they? I know alot of people are VERY upset
with the outcome of your match.
Jonathan Storm: Yeah...I don't feel too pleased
either. I feel that I could've won the match had I had a fair opportunity, but
Alex and Pru don't play like that. It's a shame also...I guess I'm the only
member of my family with any shred of integrity.
Dark Nation: What about your brother who signs
our nice and pretty paychecks?
Jonathan Storm: You know him, Nation. My brother
doesn't look at things from a perspective that allows him to see things in a
fair light...it's who can do what for him. Corey's the most corrupt member of
the family, and that's saying a lot.
Dark Nation: *chuckles* You have him
quite cut out. Well, straying away from the family matters, what about the rest
of the roster?
Jonathan Storm: I think this is the strongest
talent roster in years. We have wasted room in a few people, but everyone else
is pulling their weight.
Dark Nation: I'll have to admit to that myself.
What about last weeks weekend of returns?
Jonathan Storm: That's where one of the
deadweight comes in. I like Draven and Dube though... good to have them
back.
Dark Nation: Not a big Harding Cash mark are
you?
Jonathan Storm: The man is so full of himself,
it's disturbing. He can't wrestle, he's got no charisma, and above anything
else, he thinks he's important. Can the NYSWF survive without him? Yes. It
has, and it will. We've got the same enemies, but the fact's a fact. He's
still just a nobody here again. Do I think that I'm better than him? I'll be
the first person to admit that he's a talented wrestler, he just doesn't get my
respect. You give some, you get some, y'know?
Dark Nation: You know, I hope you don't take
this the wrong way... but have you noticed that sometimes when you're not in a
stable of sorts are your high points? I mean there was the Perfect Evil, the
Insurrection, both short lived. I hope this isn't offending you, but you do a
helluva job as a lone wolf.
Jonathan Storm: Nation...The Perfect Evil was a
mistake. I was in there because Zero played me, and I'll admit it first hand.
I did alright as an Insurrection member as well. Can I do things on my own? Of
course, and I'm still doing them on my own. It's just nice to know that there's
a balance on the outside of the ring should unneccesary parties decide to alter
that balance.
Dark Nation: The Senshi have been on a streak
lately, and Evan is definatly not a pushover by far. They are a good group. I do
see a future for this group, indeed. One last question, is there anything you'd
like to say to the readers before we rap this up?
Jonathan Storm: I guess it's really the best is
yet to come, Nation...it's just time to take things up to another level and
finally show the critics that I'm a lot better than they're giving me credit
for.
Dark Nation: Well said by an athelte of
uncomparable personality. Jon, it's great seein yah
Jonathan Storm: Hey man, it's a pleasure to help
out The Dirtsheet...it's a great publication.
Dark Nation: You bet it is... I'll tell Camel
you said whassup. (Consider me "whassup"-ed. -Ed.)
Jonathan Storm: Thanks again, bro.
*smiles*
