The Not so Silent Minority
by The Not-so Silent Minority
In this Edition TNSM sat down with SmirtDogg for a one on one interview! Here's the word for word transcript! Enjoy!
The Not So Silent Minority: Welcome to the third edition of The Not So Silent Majority. Today we have a legend in the sport in the building. He's done all their has to be done in the sport, and is still kicking. Please give it up for God's Gift to Wrestling, SmirtDogg. Welcome to the program, Smirt. And thanks for coming.
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: You're welcome. It's my pleasure to be here. I saw the first two shows with Kanyon and Matt Hoffman and knew I had to get on the show. So here I am? I'm sure you got a laundry list of questions, go ahead and ask away.
The Not So Silent Minority: Of course you'd get on the show. You're a legend in your own time and since I figure you only have one or perhaps two matches until 'Wood ends your career, I figured that I'd better get you on the show and the sooner the better.
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: Until 'Wood ends my career? Where do you get that mumble jumble from? Obviously you didn't watch the last edition of Sunday Night Sabotage where I unloaded on Haywood Jublome with True Perfection, not to mention the fact that I had him tapping out over and over and over again to the Thug Breaker. But yet you think he's gonna end my career? *Smirt arrogantly grins* I don't see where your math adds up. Apparently, you flunked out of those classes in school because if any one's career is coming to an end it'll be Haywood Jublome's. Not
mine.
The Not So Silent Minority: You mention all the things that went to your liking. But you neglect to mention the fact that you and your partner still lost. What about that, your much heralded debut and it's in a losing effort. How does that sit by you?
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: For a mark such as yourself that may seem to be a loss. But if you look at the video tape, Michael Draven and myself dominated the match from start to finish. We had Haywood Jublome and Ray Willmott, Dark Force Rising, beat. If you truly want to call the run-in by Venom and all the interference money can buy by Dark Force Rising a victory over us - than that's your thing. But lets not forget exactly who I am. I'm "God's Gift to Wrestling." No one out-wrestles me. No one gets one over on me. No one ever gets the better of me. Believe that. I'm comfortable with my in-ring return to pro-wrestling because I know that I did everything I could to win the match and had it not been for outside interference and other things that I couldn't control - Haywood Jublome and Ray Willmott would have lost. Plain and simple. It all comes down to this. In the hearts of Ray Willmott and Haywood Jublome they know that they were beaten. They know that Michael Draven and Smirt-D-O-Double G out-wrestled and out-performed them. I'd rather live with what I'm going through now, than them even in 'victory' and I use 'victory' in the most slightest of ways - knowing that they're inadequate when it comes to competing against Michael Draven and "God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg.
The Not So Silent Minority: * feigning sleep, he lets out a slight snore before waking up, so to speak.. he now begins to speak. * Oh, you're done? I'm sorry I guess you put me to sleep. You mention the fact that you woulda, coulda, shoulda won that match, but the fact remains, you lost. Matter fact, losing seems to be something you are getting rather accustomed to. Your record in the NYSWF and other federations prior to the Zero match were lackluster to say the least, then in your final match before your comeback and then just a few nights ago, and the common denominator is you coming up on the losing end of the stick. What about that?
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: Obviously you don't know anything about me and haven't done your homework. Nitpicking at my record? I think it's safe to say that I have one of if not the best winning percentage ever in this circuit's history. As for my performance in federations during the end of my last stint in pro-wrestling again you have no idea what you're talking about. I was in an Australian federation - won its title of the same name. I was in the UWF and won its Intercontinental Championship and in that NYSWF you mentioned - while dealing with a fed head who only wanted to see me lose and did everything in his power to make that happen - I still had a record over .500 not to mention I defeated his client NOTHING and your favorite wrestlers' current stablemate Ray Willmott in one match. So I don't get where you're coming from with this losing angle? You need to give it a rest because it's nothing short of a miracle that I was able to even compete in that ring last weekend and to then go out and dominate my competition in the match? Man, I don't see anyone else doing that. Certainly not Haywood Jublome.
The Not So Silent Minority: You seem to have plenty of enemies in the wrestling world... now that your brother has done his time, are we to understand that there is no chance of a reconciliation. Seems unfair to me, when you consider that while he made mistakes, you still left him to die. You have to get some pleasure out of seeing him wrestle and succeed? Or am I wrong?
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: Let me ask you a question. If your brother was in cahoots with someone and both of them planned and conspired together to kill you. To murder and wipe you off the face of the earth - would you reconcile with your brother after it proved to not be successful? *Smirt pauses for a second, allowing a response but nothing is said* Didn't think so. I had my reasons for letting Marcus rot in jail. If you remember it was him who got me involved in the mess therefore I hold him responsible for what happened. My brother Marcus would have been dead 12 years ago if I hadn't stepped in and offered my services to the mob that he owed money to. Which I did and in sparing his life I was forced into a life of crime that I wanted no part of. Because if I didn't do it than not only was Marcus gonna be killed - myself and our mother were gonna be gunned down as well. Marcus made his bed and he had to lie in it. It might as well had been him who smoked the undercover police officer and not me, because Marcus put that gun in my hands. As for taking satisfaction that he's in pro-wrestling and has been rather successful. My taking pleasure in that? Not quite. His reasons for being in the sport are as tainted as you can get. It's not for the love of the game or the thirst for competition - his only motive is to beat anything I've ever accomplished. To be seen as better than me - "God's Gift to Wrestling" but the truth is he doesn't have an idea of what he's doing in the ring. One day he's gonna get himself killed and that day won't be a day too soon, even if he is my brother.
The Not So Silent Minority: You've won what seven world titles during your career? Is that correct, SmirtDogg? When was your first world title secured?
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: Yes, I've won 7 World Heavyweight Titles. My first one was secured after I had gotten into some controversy in the E-mail Wrestling Alliance and was fired from the company. Something that would happen on multiple occasions between being fired or suspended, Gates and I had a volatile combustable working relationship. But any ways, during one of those sabatticals away from the E-mail Wrestling Alliance I joined the upstart wrestling federation promoted by Justin Pappan called the INWA. It was there that I'd win my first World Heavyweight Title and jump start my career into the illustrious territory that it'd ascend to over the years.
The Not So Silent Minority: You didn't quite answer my question, so I will answer it for you... you say that your brother doesn't know what he is doing and yet, inside of three months in the sport, he had secured 2 titles, including a World Heavyweight Championship, while it took you much longer, almost a year or more in fact? How does that work? Is that some kind of new math?
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: Actually, I beat Marcus to the punch, if you had your facts straight. It only took me a month in the E-Mail Wrestling Alliance to secure both the EWA Light Heavyweight and United State Championships. That, in essence, was the beginning of my career just like Marcus started off in the NEWF. He may have gotten to a World Title quicker than I did, as it took me 5 solid months but that doesn't mean anything. Look at what happened. There's a reason that Marcus Hailey only held that belt for 14 days. It's because he wasn't cut out for it. Because of the reasons he's in the sport - self-centered greed and not admiration for pro-wrestling - someone like Marcus Hailey isn't gonna come off the streets and live out his fantasy. His fantasy being 8 World Titles, 3 Tournament Victories and 175 victories. That's not gonna happen. He's liable to fatally wound himself in the ring on a botched move or to get himself severely injured in the ring from a beating by an adversary than he is to reach 200 matches in his career and try to compete at the pace I did. It's just not gonna happen. Trust me.
The Not So Silent Minority: You have so many enemies in the wrestling world, yet the one you decided to target was Haywood Jublome, not your big brother, who paid Zero off to purposely botch a move, in an attempt to kill you. It din't work, obviously, but the question remains, do you have any other scores to settle and or are you ducking anyone, cause it seems like you are, to me.
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: Since you don't know what the situation is that was a good question. Surprising coming from you, but I credit you on that one. The truth is that obviously my brother Marcus is the first person I'd target and go after. Given that he paid the money to have me killed, which ended in my temporary paralysis. If it was possible, on a pro-wrestling program you'd be seeing the potential death of Marcus Hailey. It already would have happened but NPWA President Angela Chang and her legal team had me sign numerous papers and documents upon my entry that prohibited any contact between Marcus and myself. The NPWA won't sanction any wrestling matches between us or allow any physical contact or alterations. Angela Chang wants violence in her programs but apparently doesn't want murders to have to deal with. That's not good for business, I guess. But I'll let you in on an inside secret, I've got plans for Marcus. Not everything happens inside the squared circle or on a wrestling program you know and as for Zero - if the scared bitch ever returns from Edina you better believe a score will be settled and revenge will be mine. But for some reason I don't see Zero ever leaving the comfort of Edina to walk into the most hellacious, emotional and hardest fought match ever - which would be a "Dead Soul" Zero vs. "God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg III epic altercation.
The Not So Silent Minority: I saw your emotional tirade you unleashed upon a comatose victim in one Foxy Brown, that was impressive the way you verbally demoralized someone who couldn't speak or move. You assumed she was the enmey, then when you learned the actual truth, you appeared on the verge of tears. WHat is the status between you and Foxy Brown, when and if she wakes up from her coma?
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: *pauses for a moment, appearing vulnerable for the first time* The worst feeling in the world is to be betrayed by your friend. Someone that you'd trust your life with, as I did with Foxy Brown. She betrayed me but then took it back. The initial act can't be denied or just simply forgotten. Foxy and I have a lot of mending fences to do and it's gonna take everything inside of me to let this go and for her to get past her guilt but once she wakes up out of the coma and she will wake up - we'll attempt to make ammends.
The Not So Silent Minority: Ohh, SmirtDogg has a soft side. When a woman has something between her legs that has you sprung, it's different than isn't it? She has you sprung doesn't she? Admit it! Just like Turtle did, and to be honest if I was Zero, I'd do the same exact thing to you, except for one thing, I wouldn't f*ck it up, you'd be dead, a dead dog, you little b!tch!
"God's Gift to Wrestling" SmirtDogg: I've only got one thing to say before I put the appropriate finish to this interview. Haywood Jublome showed no remorse for his actions and different from Foxy Brown - he actually left me to die and would do it again. Foxy Brown has been there for me since the beginning of my pro-wrestling career and made one lapse mistake in judgement. A monumental one but one I may be able to get past. But as for Haywood - that sh*t is over. Has been over. And the way its headed - it won't end til one of us is no longer breathing. Something you'll cease to do in about oh 3 seconds....
Au Revoir!
*SmirtDogg gets up out of the chair which prompts the Not So Silent Minority to have the same reaction. Smirt rares back and unleashes a LETHAL thing of beauty called - True Perfection!!!! Smacking the Not So Silent Minority flush in the jaw - vibrating it backwards and in a sick thud he hits the ground as this interview ends abruptly.*
