The Not so Silent Minority: Matt Hoffman One-on-One

By The Not so Silent Minority

In this Edition TNSM sat down with Matt Hoffman for a one on one interveiw! Here's the word for word transcript! Enjoy!

The Not So Silent Minority: Welcome to the second edition of The Not So Silent Majority. Tonight, we have another VERY special guest in the house. A multible time World Champion, and also if he's done nothing else in his career, he should get mad props for being the latest to diss the hell out of one Corey Collins, so give it up for Matt Hoffman. Welcome Matt and thanks for coming.

Matt Hoffman: Well, thanks for having me, Mr.. err.. Silent Minority. I'm glad to have the oppurtunity to come on here and address the more educated portion of wrestlings viewing audiance...

The Not So Silent Minority: *snickering to himself before speaking* The day someone keeps me silent.. Anyways, I saw the all out war, you had with Piss Kanyon, my previous guest. I not only propped you to win that match on the show, but I lost 50 bucks on you as well. What the hell happened, Matt? You had him?

Matt Hoffman..First of all, i'm really, really, really sorry about your loss...i'm sure for an internet beat writer, fifty bucks is a large amount of money...and the only thing i can really say about that matchup is that nine times out of ten...i win, no doubt about it....I played Kanyon like a freakin banjo for that entire match...but of course, i came up just short..Kanyon went a tad psycho on me, and pretty much won on pure adreneline and emotion, and nothing more...

The Not So Silent Minority: Well, it was one hell of a match, I spilled a whole pitcher of beer on myself, while watching the ending. Needless to say, I thought it was lights out for Kanyon. Oh well, moving on, now... How did it feel to punk that Goth b!tch, Corey Collins?

Matt Hoffman I'll be honest...i've never felt better about somthing i've done in my entire life. Now i hop online on occasion, when i can make it home...i see all these dirtsheets, there a dime a freakin dozen now days...and it seems everyone has a different opinion...some feel that Corey Collins doesnt get enough credit for what he's done for the sport, and his company...but ya know what...fuck that. I dont think enough attention is paid to the damage he's done to this sport, and to his company, through his shoddy management of talent, and his mistreatment of his top stars..

The Not So Silent Minority: You know where were you last week, when I was interviewing, Kanyon? He's a f*cking idiot. Finally some man who isn't afriad to tell it like it is. Corey Collins has singlehandedly jobbed more stars than than the Oscars with their miserable and ridiculous 30 second speeches. I mean look at the talent that's been down in his neck of the woods. SmirtDogg, Zero, E'Nuff', Jack Reed, Harding Cash, Erik Draven, Grady Stiff, Jack Daniels, Sean Sanders, and the list goes on and on.. and I will give you credit, when you left, I believe that was the final stake, in the New York State Goth Federations heart. I hope I don't sound condescending but after this show is over, can I have your autograph? You're my hero! Hahahahaha!

p>Matt Hoffman *Laughs* I'm sure your not the only one that feels that way..and your right. I mean just listen to those names again..Smirt, Zero, E-Nuff, Jack Daniels, Harding Cash, Sean Sanders, Grady Smith....for the most part every single one of these men has held the world title in the NYSWF, they've all amassed awe inspiring records..they've had great success..and most importantly, they put a lotta coin in Corey's pocket.....with that being said, you'd expect complete respect from Collins towards all these men, but what do we see? Well we see that all of these men have at one point in the past, been pushed around, jobbed, screwed...used and abused by Corey Collins...myself included. All of these guys made the decision to get out, each man may have his different specific reasoning, but there is one common problem, and it's Collins...

The Not So Silent Minority: Moving right along, Rated X has had their fair share of battles with Haywood Jublome, the Hailey brothers and so on.. now Sean Sanders is teaming up with Haywood Jublome of all people? What is going on in your head when you think about that? Has your relationship with Sean Sanders deteriorated? I heard the comments in your latest interview against Kanyon where you just fell short of totally disrespecting your former stablemate and the man you mentored. What is the deal?

Matt Hoffman..The way i view Sean Sanders will NEVER change. He is my best friend...my student if you will, and one of the best tag team partners i'v ever had the pleasure of stepping into the ring with...as far as him teaming with Hardwood Jabronie..?? I think he's lost his fucking mind to be quite honest...I couldnt believe my eyes when I saw the confirmed parings for the tourney published online and on television...This is a man that we battled with for months in the IWF, house shows, pay per views...week in and week out there we were, side by side against Hardwood and Lil Chris...and now, here he is, sleepin with the enemy...I dunno man, I can't say im too thrilled with the decision as you can see...but thats his decision...i'm not gonna do anything to stop it...i'll just sit back and watch...our mutual friend Jaron Ryze is a different story though...from what i've been able to gather, he isnt too happy at all about Sean's actions...and he's got a chance to act on that this weekend...should be fun to watch...

The Not So Silent Minority: Fun to watch? What's fun to watch about two of your best friends going at it, trying to tear each other apart for a tag team tournament berth? You've already admitted that, Ryze isn't happy with Sanders decision. You also admitted that Sanders is your best friend. Where does this leave Ryze. Perhaps you are looking to stab him in the back like you did when you talked about Sanders this past weekend? Where do your loyalties lie, Matt?

Matt Hoffman Lemme tell ya somthin about me....I'm loyal to my friends, and if i'm ever gonna stab anybody..it's gonna be right between the fuckin eyes...there gonna know it's coming. Now is that gonna happen with Jaron? Hell no...i've known the man since I was eighteen years old...we've been taggin up in pro wrestling that entire time...he's the best wrestler i've ever stoof beside in a ring...sure, he's got some problems...he's a stoner, he has a problem with 99% of the white anglo saxon population...but those things arent gonna change any loyalties on this end...Like i said, he's not happy with Sean, and odds are he's gonna try and castrate Sean this weekend in that match...and it's gonna be fun as hell to watch...if you've been around wrestling for long enough, you know that friends always fight each other harder than anyone else could...and ya know what the best part is?? When it's all said and done, no matter who wins, who losses...these two will get together, and have a beer, have a blunt, hit a bong, and settle anything and everything between them...i can guarantee that..

The Not So Silent Minority: Have a beer, have a blunt, hit a bong? Share a double ended dildo, as well perhaps? * The Not So Silent Majority snickers at his last comment before continuing. * I noticed you weren't on any of this weeks cards for the NPWA? That spinal tap, put your Lights Out or what?

Matt Hoffman I won't try and downplay what happened to me Monday night...thats one of the most devastating moves i've ever been on the bad end of....i took a little trip to the doctor today, and he confirmed what i already assumed, which is my twenty-fifth career concussion...i dunno if it was the Spinal Tap, or the wonderful trip through a table that followed, but i'm not exactly at a hundred percent you could say...i'll prolly be out of the ring for a few weeks, i'm pretty familiar with consussions, and i'm sure i'll be able to recover effectivley...and when i do, i'l have more than a few issues to attend to, Chris Kanyon being near the top of that list..

The Not So Silent Minority: Chris Kanyon at the top of that list? Just tell me when and where, and i'll be there with bells on, brotha. As far as 25th concussion goes? OUCH! But I heard you signed an extremely lucrative contract in the NPWA and I'm sure that eases that pain, just a bit, every time you see all those zero's in that check? Just one last question? Your last stint in the NPWA/NEWF was lackluster to say the least, and your latest endeavor hasn't exactly been stellar, either. So what are your thoughts? Plans for the future and targets, besides Kanyon that is?

Matt Hoffman..My targets for the future are pretty much the usual suspects, The first time i get within striking distance of Jack Daniels, i dont care if there are cameras rolling or not, he's gonna have the treads of my shoe tatooed on his ass. Of course, anything i can do to inflict pain upon rivals like Hardwood and Grady Smith will be cool...and i wouldn't mind stepping into the ring with Smirt's brother...aside from the fact that he's one of the biggest, overrated ego maniacs in the game, he has shown signs of promise in the ring on occasion, and i'd love to wrestle circles around him anytime he'd be willing...

The Not So Silent Minority: I noticed you listed just about everyone and everybody at the top. Seems like you don't back away from any challenge> But I lied, just a minute ago, when I said that was my last question. I have two more and then you can end the show, in any manner you like, Fair enough? Oops that will be three.. Anyways, First is Rated X dead? Because there seem to be cracks in your guys's armor. And lastly, who is the better man, the mentor or the pupil? The floors yours, Matt and thanks for coming, you blew that b!tch, Piss Kanyon out of the f*cking water.

Matt Hoffman Like thats hard to do, shit. Anyway...is Rated X dead? *laughs* If wrestling fans have learned anything, they know that when it comes to Rated X...expect the unexpected...just when ya think were gone, we come right back in your freakin face...Matt Hoffman and Sean Sanders as a team is a dominate force in this circuit rather people want to realize that or not...were talkin one loss as a team around here folks...that isnt bad in my opinion...and mark my words...Rated X is NOT dead, if ya need anymore convincing than that, just stick around your boob tube and watch the NPWA, ya might see somthin you like....and as far as who is better....lemme say this. We've fought one on one in the ring only once on television, and Sean won...but off camera *Grins* well lets just say that the tables were turned...but really, to be honest, it's for the fans to decide...cheer for who you want, root for who you want...the mentor OR the pupil...doesnt matter to me...bottom line is, when it's all said and done, we will BOTH be remembered as true greatness, in this circuit, and in wrestling as a whole..and you can take that to the freakin bank..

* And with that this edition of The Not So Silent Majority fades to black? What no attacks this time? I guess wonders never cease, huh?
