                      All Classes Requirements

  1. You must have a Muffler on your engine in all classes ! This is due to the new Subdivision going in next to the track. We want to stop any problem with that before it starts !! Mufflers will also be required at Tom Millers track in Jackson.

  3. All karts must have a chain guard.

  6. 4 Cycle engines only !
  7. No fuel additives such as Nitro or Polypropoline. Gas or Alky ONLY !!
  8. All Karts must have visible numbers on both sides and steering column if possible.
  9. Full coverage rear loop bumpers on all karts are required.
  10. Noses will be required on all classes except the outlaws class but is highly recommended . Full noses or short noses in plastic or fiberglass are allowed because they cover the front end wheel to wheel. No Loop bumper in front will be allowed since they will tend to catch edges!

                Rookies and Youngans Classes Requirements

Just a few words about the kids classes.

While we want the kids who race at Willis Speedway to have fun, we as adults and parents have to be sure they are safe while they race.  By learning the rules of this race track it will help them to have more fun, and be safe too.  They should learn about clean racing, use of flags, restarts and running pace laps.  Unfortunately last year we had to break up the "Youngans" class due to careless, wild driving.

Learning the specific rules of the track, and observing them, will help them become better drivers.  Once their ability level and age requirements are met, they can advance to the "Juniors" class, for some all out racing fun!!!

Again,  it is the concern of everyone for the kids to be safe.  So please educate your little racer as much as possible so they can have a safe, FUN racing season.

  1. Both Classes must run 5 Hp Briggs engines with stock heads and carbs.
  2. There is a $300 dollar claim rule on all kids class engines to keep modification to a Minimum. The claim money does not include the carb and tank , pipe or clutch. If a claim is made it must be directed to Danny after the race is complete. We want to keep it slow in this class again so they can LEARN !!! Parents please help us do that !!! Let keep the Mod's to a minimum so this doesn't get out of control and we have bad feelings. Remember were here to have fun!!!
  3. Must run a Max Torque yard kart type clutch
  4. Purple plate restrictors must be run for the Rookies
  5. Gold plate restrictors for the youngans
  6. Long sleves, pants are required and a heavy jacket, driving suit  and a elbowpad is highly recomended.
