All-Terrain Board Freestyle Riding Trick List:

*Easier Grabs*

Indy - The most basic grab. A grab in the middle of the deck on the toe edge with your back or front hand.

Method - With your knees bent and legs behind you, Your front hand grabs the heel edge, and the board is pulled up behind you, the higher you pull it, the more stylie.

Roastbeef - Put your back hand through your legs (onto the heel-side) and grab in the middle of the deck.

Nose-Grab - Some call this a truck driver - you grab your front axle with both hands and hold for as long as possible.

Tail-Grab - Grab your board's rear truck and hold.

Mute - With your front hand, grab just inside of your front foot. Tuck in you knees for more style.

Stalefish - Back hand grabs just inside your back foot. For additional style pull and lay your body parallel to the ground.

Melon - Front hand grabs deck near the middle on the heel side.

*Advanced Grabs*

Grez Air -On this trick you grab the heelside wheels and pull up as if you were doing a double handed method but on the wheels. This trick was invented by Grez.

Yoda Air - With your front hand grab the toeside edge towards the nose in between the binding and the truck and bone your back leg.to add style to this trick, bring your back leg(which is boned)round to the side 90 degrees.

Reverse Yoda - similar to the yoda air but boning the front leg and grabbing the toeside edge behind the back foot with the back hand.The yoda air and reverse yoda were bothe created by Adam Jones, UK.

Saber - Your front hand goes through your legs and grabs the Front Heelside Tire.

Reverse Saber - Your rear hand goes through your legs and grabs your Back Heelside Tire.

Nochio (pronounced No - Key - Oh, like pinochio without the pi) - grab your boards nose using your back hand. Like a Reverse Seatbelt.

Croaker - Both hands side by side grabbing between legs and on the HEEL edge.

Frogger (Sean Palmer calls it a Double handed indy) - Both hands grab between bindings on toe side.

Back Scratch - Grab with your back hand onto either the toe or heel edge near the back and pull up so the tires touch your back.

Japan - same as the Backscratch but with the front truck.

Kick Back - Grab Indy or mute then take out your back foot from the binding and um...kick back all relaxed like�Try put your foot back in your binding but mainly just try to get it on the board to land.

Stiffy - Indy grab then stick out your legs to the side so they're straight.

Crossbone - Grab just inside of your front foot on the heelside and pull the board up into a vertical position.

CrossRocket - Rocket air, by the way that's grabbing the nose with both hands, only cross your hands like a BMX X-up.

Moka Air - Method, only you grab the toe edge.

Tuna Grab - One foot method... leading foot forward and straight... to tweak pull the board towards your back.

Nuclear - Mute grab on heel edge. To tweak: bend knees.

Misty Flip - An inverted B/S 540 performed off of a straight jump. It is the straight jump version of the McTwist. Therefore the approach is riding forward and the landing is fakie.

Mosquito Air - A trick in which the front hand reaches behind the front leg and grabs the heel edge between the bindings. The front knee is then bent to touch the board tuck knee style.

900 Air (a.k.a. nine) - The rider rotates 900 degrees (2.5 full revolutions) in the air and lands riding fakie, the rider approaches the jump riding forward, rotates 900 degrees, and lands riding forward.

Nollie - Much like an Ollie only you spring off of your boards front wheels instead of your rear. Nose Ollie.

Nollie Frontflip - Springing off of the nose (front wheels) while going off of a jump and leaning forward, allows you to do a frontflip.

Nose Bonk - To hit an object with the nose (front wheels) of your board.

Nose Poke - Any maneuver where you bone your front leg and "poke" the nose of the board in a direction away from your body usually while grabbing, i.e. Alley-oop Nose Poke.

Nuclear Air - The rear hand reaches across the front of the body and grabs the heel side edge in front of the front foot.

Palmer Air - A kind of method where the grab is near front truck, the board is pulled across the front of the body, and the front is pointed downward. Named after Shaun Palmer.

Revert - To switch from riding fakie to forward, or from forward to fakie, usually while the board is still touching the ground. Usually your board is slid revert or nose rolled revert.

Rewind - A term used to describe any maneuver where a rotation is initiated, stopped, and its' momentum reversed.

Rocket Air - The front hand grabs the toe edge in front of the front foot (mute) and the back leg is boned while the board points perpendicular to the ground.

Rodeo Flip - An inverted Front Side 540. Off of a straight jump, it feels like doing a backflip and landing riding fakie.

Arm X - A double grab indy on your front arm reaches behind your back arm creating a X shape

Beer Man - Grab both ends on the board and suck up your legs.

Canadian Bacon Air - The rear hand reaches behind the rear leg to grab the toe side edge between the bindings while the rear leg is boned.

Chicken Salad Air - The rear hand reaches between the legs and grabs the heel edge between the bindings while the front leg is boned. Also, the wrist is rotated inward to complete the grab.

Corkscrew - A term used to describe a very fast and tightly performed rotation. A term used to describe any rotation which is off-axis.

Crail Air - The rear hand grabs the toe edge in front of the front foot while the rear leg is boned.

Crippler - An inverted aerial where the mountainboarder performs a 180 degree back flip. In other words, the athlete approaches a quarterpipe wall riding forward, becomes airborne, rotates 90 degrees, flips over backwards in the air, rotates another 90 degrees, and lands riding forward.

Crossbone Method Air - A Method Air where the back leg is boned.

50/50 - To slide with the board parallel to the coping or rail. Wheels are on opposite sides of whatever you are sliding.

540 Air (a.k.a. five) - The mountainboarder rotates 540 degrees in the air and lands riding fakie. Rider rotates 1.5 revolutions lands switch stance.

Flying Squirrel Air - Bending at the knees and grabbing the heel edge of the mountainboard with both hands; the front hand near the front foot, and the rear hand near the rear foot.

Fresh Fish Air - The backside version of the Stale Fish.

Grind - The act of sliding over an object. I.E. rail, mailbox, etc.

Iguana Air - The rear hand grabs the toe edge near the tail. Made famous by Damian Sanders.
