Wedding Page

Barb and I were married on September 5, 1998.  Quite a woman she is.  Beautiful too. I am including our vows.  Barb & I wrote them ourselves. They mean more that way and remind you, the best is yet to come!

Here are a couple of our wedding photos.

Barb & I cutting cakeThe Happy Couple

We had some help with the first part of the ceremony but the ring ceremony.

Marriage is a supreme sharing of experience and an adventure in the most intimate of human relationships. It is the joyous uniting of a man and a woman whose comradeship and mutual understanding have flowered into romance. Today Barb and Don proclaim their love to the world and we who are gathered here celebrate with them the new life they now undertake together.  Don & Barb, marriage is the joining of two people-the union of two hearts. It lives on the love you give each other and never grows old, but thrives on the joy of each new day. Marriage is love. May you always be blessed in your hearts with the wonder of this special day.  May you always be able to talk things over, to confide in each other, to laugh with each other, to enjoy life together, and to share moments of quiet and peace, when the day is done. May you be blessed with a lifetime of happiness.  True love breeds unlimited courage and confidence. Such courage and confidence we know are yours as you continue your lives together under the ever-embracing bond of marriage. In addition to the affection and thoughtful consideration, which you have for one another, you will need a capacity for self-sacrifice, patience and forbearance, for this is no light adventure, which you are undertaking.  Marriage is dedication. You give yourself, your life and love, into the hands of the one you love. You do so trustingly and generously. By the same token, each of you receives a gift - the life and love of the other. You receive this gift not only from the one you love, but also from your parents and family who are joined in friendship and faith in your marriage.  We are here to share your joy and hope and to speed you along the path, which you are to tread together. May the path be blessed with bright fragrant flowers of prosperity, a path of deepening and widening love that you shall travel arm in arm throughout eternity.

RING CEREMONY

May these rings which you give and receive this day be a symbol of true faith in each other, and always remind each of you of the love you share on this day.

 Time Passes...

We Arrive a the Present:

We have celebrated  our fifth anniversary and we are happy.  Many things have happened and I'm sure many more problems that everyday life presents will arrive.  The best things are worth working for.  Both of us are looking forward to spending more time together.

Looking around, we see other couples with problems so much greater than ours and we feel fortunate.  What's more, we feel like the best is yet to come. One day soon, both of us can retire and spend a lot more time together.  Both of us will have some time to work on individual projects.  Like this one.  Who knows, maybe I will really become proficient with a computer and start making a few bucks on the side doing something I enjoy.

Here is a holiday look to our home. Nothing fancy, but we call it home. A place I love to be; spending time with my bride of five years.  Are we rich, not in dollars and cents but in love and in comfort, you bet.

And Enjoy the New Year, each and every one of them!
