Delivery in Edmonton

I could have made it to Edmonton by Sunday evening but found a good [place to sleep in Red Deer, about an hour away from Edmonton. I arrived in Edmonton around noon and managed to park my trailer/truck combination on a tiny parking lot on campus. After saying hello to Dick, my new boss at the University of Alberta, I took the truck to Uhaul and took my van off the trailer. The Uhaul people were very nice and let me park the truck loaded on their lot. This would be my home for the next three days. I immediately started driving around to look for an appartment, found a nice but more expensive one on Monday. Decided to take it anyway on Wednesday morning, moved in on Thursday morning. After taking my first shower in 6 days, I took Plat 2 to the University on Thursday afternoon. They have no lift here, therefore the solid crate was again quite a help ! Robert and I managed to slide the crate onto the loading dock. Kelly had to take off a door to get the platform in the lab. On Friday, I was my first full day at work.

Still in Banff. Mountains...

Mountains... And more mountains !

Looking back on my first Canadian experience. It was a nice trip, and I hope to come back to see more of it. The Uhaul place in Edmonton, my home for three nights...in snow and freezing temperatures.

Kelly opens the crate, Dick is happy to see Plat 2 in pristine condition. Me too and I'm sure Jane and Charley too ! Dick and his new toy.
