Tradewind Rider
One of the cards I personnally love most is Tradewind Rider. Its blue, its flying
its slowing down the game, and its multiusefull since every player uses
pernaments. I like it a lot. Although since the Survival left and the Demonic
Consulatation left as well the power of the Tradewind is way less. Because
without the Tradewind Rider the deck is usually a little passive. Still, I think most
of the 1.x decks have lost their strength with the new banning rules and there
fore new slow decks that can deal with weenie decks are good choices to play.
Although it looks simple it is kinda a hard deck to play. You need to calculate
on how you manange your life, your creatures, your counters, your choices with
the tutors and impulses.. And every game you are probably having problems with
one or more of these options. Its an expensive deck as well since the most
expensive cards are the ones you need most, Force of Wills Cities, Armageddons
and Tradewind Riders are all very much needed.
To play this deck, get a few wall out, block some creatures, play your Tradewind
Rider after you have at least 3 creatures and a Force of Will or other counter in
your hand. Then tutor or Impulse for a Armageddon. With your Tradewind rider you
keep the opponent on 1 land. and you win by hitting with Mirri or Weaver.
