As I previously reported, my site was about to become Mark's official website. Well, scratch that 'coz it's not gonna happen now.

My contact was, let's say, a bit wonky. I dunno what's her deal, but when I asked that Mark or his dad should contact me, she suddenly backed out. I told her that I wanna talk to either Mark or his dad about their plans for the site if they were really gonna transfer it to a paid server and pay for a [dot] COM domain name. That was when she backed out.

When we first talked on the phone, she told me that she was "with Mark at his condo" to surf the net for sites dedicated to Mark Herras coz he needed one for a particular conference whereas San Miguel Corporation is involved. That way, they won't have to spend time building a site since they were on a deadline. They chose mine and this girl contacted me through e-mail. On the phone, she wanted to make these changes on my site, which she said that it was Mark's request. As she went on about the structure of my site, she was practically criticizing it, as if she was an expert on web design. She was saying things like (patay ang kulay, masyadong common na daw yung picture ni Mark sa head banner, masyadong maliit yung thumbnails sa gallery, hindi nao-occupy ng site yung buong screen). Well, all I can say about these things, so that all of you know, is that 1.) I chose this color theme because I was so tired of black background since all of my other sites have a black background, and I also wanted Mark's picture to bring life to the colors 2.) I chose that picture on the head banner because that's the best picture of Mark I could find on the web when I started this website. It's clear and Mark looks better on it than on the rest of his other pics, 3.) The thumbnails are small because that's what thumbnails are for. They were meant to be small. 4.) The site won't occupy the whole screen if you're using a higher resolution like 1024x768 and up. This site is best viewed using a 800x600 resolution to occupy the whole screen.

At first, I didn't mind her comments. The bad thing was that I don't recall any praise about my site. It's as if she doesn't appreciate my site nor my efforts in making it.

She began to strike a nerve when she asked me for my username and password on Geocities so that she can put up something on the site. And she was insistent on it. Of course I didn't give it to her, and I explained that I had bad experiences regarding giving my account information to my staff on my other sites. I also told her that I don't trust her yet since I just met her on the phone just a while ago. And I wouldn't give it to her unless I met Mark first, which was my condition for the deal.

This girl also told me that she was gonna interview Mark. She was supposed to meet him after Stage 1 Live on April 2, and they were gonna go to his condo for the Q&A. I told her that I wanna come to meet Mark personally. She told me that she was still waiting for Mark's text to confirm. (Yep, she said she has Mark's cell number.) On Friday morning, she text me and said that Mark wouldn't be available since it's his mom's birthday, and they had taping for Click right after Stage 1 Live.

That was when I started to really doubt her. As far as I know, tapings for Click is on Saturdays. Plus, Mark was gonna host the Mutya ng QC at 9PM that Friday. Unless they squeezed in a full episode taping of Click for 3 hours, I would believe her. But it wasn't likely.

The next day, Saturday April 3, this girl sent me a text message and said at the beginning that it was Mark's text. Apparently, she edited the text message and put "txt ni Mark" at the beginning, and forwarded it to me. At least, that's what she wanted me to think.

I didn't buy it. But I must say that she's really good because she even imitated Mark's habit of using ellipsis on his text messages. I didn't believe that Mark sent her that text because it has three-dotted (...) ellipsis on it. As I have examined Mark's text messages on Fanatxt, he only puts two-dotted (..) ellipsis on his text. And so I came to the conclusion that it was a fake. I guess I'm just smarter than she thinks I am.

The message on the text has Mark's comment about the site. And I'm telling you, the text made it look like Mark was...not nice (to put it mildly).

And then when I talked to this girl, she repeated Mark's words as if they were her own. What was I supposed to think? She could have told me that Mark "told" her this and that. But no, she said it like it was coming from her. That's another reason why I didn't believe her that those comments were from Mark himself.

The next day, Sunday April 4, I text the girl and asked for Mark or his dad's number so that I could talk to either one of them about their plans for the site. The girl refused and said that it was one of the things that they kept reminding her not to give their numbers to anyone else. I replied, asking her to tell either one of them to contact me so as to make the deal official and so that I'd know they are serious about buying a domain name for the site.

I'm a very professional person and I wanted to make the deal official even though I won't be paid for doing this. Besides, I just couldn't accept orders from a stranger without even knowing that she's really authorized to do so.

I told her that I was willing to do the site but I have to talk to either Mark or his dad first before moving on. I mean it's only fair since I won't be remunerated for my services.

That was when she backed out on the deal.

Maybe that's because she doesn't really have any contact with Mark or his dad. Perhaps the only time she could talk to them was when she's in broadway along with the other fans. I mean, would you really believe that Mark would give her number to a fan and take her to her condo. Well, then, let's just say that he actually did give his number to this particular girl. If that's the case, why would Mark or his dad refuse to contact me since I'm the one who's gonna make a new website for Mark?

All of this doesn't add up. Whether this girl is telling the truth or not, I don't care anymore.

Perhaps it's true that this girl asked Mark his permission to make a website for him, but that would only be authorization and that's hardly being official. I guess it's that easy to go to SOP and tell Mark that you're gonna make a website for him and get a nod of agreement from Mark. Maybe that's what she did and now she's into this kick that she's making Mark's official website.

I told my friend about this, and he said that maybe she's telling the truth but she just wanted to take credit for all my work. Well, I noticed that, too. But then again, I don't care anymore. If she was telling the truth, no one can blame me for this, since she couldn't really be trusted by the way she presented herself. I won't even regret not being able to turn my site into Mark's official website. I'm just glad that I didn't let myself be used.
