Also known as Streghe, the Old Religion, La Vecchia Religion or simply La Vecchia- The Ways, this religion was taught by Aradia, daughter of Diana the queen of the witches in the 14th century. Aradia taught The Ways by means of three traditions, known as the Fanarra-earth and forest mysteries, Janarra-moon mysteries, and Tanarra-star or stellar mysteries.
Followers believe in the Lare (also know as the clan spirits). The Lare are the most faithful people, and are believed to be born again and again to their descendants in order to remind us of all that is wise and sacred. Within their faith they also believed the one creator is both feminine and masculine, this soul/spirit lives in every being, and that reincarnation, karma, and psychic abilities all exist. Aradia also taught her disciples that we have power gifts, which incloude the ability to bring success in love, call forth spirits, hear the voice of spirit in nature, divine our future, and hidden, secretive things; and bless consecrate, and bring forth beauty. Read Raven Grimassi's books for more info about this path.
