Day 3

Today was a very exiciting  day.  We finally got ahold of the other students and met them in the morning at their hotel.  From there we got on a bus and went up the school, the ride was about 45 minutes long and similar in length to driving to sioux falls.  To walk down from the school to downtown would probably take a full day.

The campus was situated up in the hills and has a very beautiful view of the area.  We met the person in charge of estudiantes extranjeros and we gave her the rest of the information she needed for our classes.  The school and campus itself is smaller in size than I expected.

When we got on the bus down a girl behind me said she was surprised to see some more americans and hear people speaking english.  She said she has been going to the school for a year and loved it.  Heres how the conversation went:

me: where are you from?
her: Montana
oh Tim is from montana, what city are you from
Missoula
Oh Tim is from Billings
Oh well I grew up in Billings
Really? What high school?
Skyview
Oh thats where tim went to school!

So that was a very exciting coincidence.  After finding a Hostal to move into later this week and doing some shopping we went back to her apartment and met up with some other students, one from USD which me and tim know, Jill.   That night we went to a local bar/cafe and I talked to one of their local friends about Spain and Vigo for a long time.  It turns out we havent seen anyone our own age because no one goes out to dinner until about 10, and no one goes out dancing until about 2am?!?!?!?!  And they also stay out until the late morning!  This was aparent later than night when me and Tim were sleeping and it got VERY loud outside at about 4 and 5am.

But we were very lucky to run into these people because we have just been stumbling around Vigo on our own the past few days.  Their schedule will definetly take some getting used to (as well as this keyboard at a cyber cafe).  Tommorow we are going to La Playa Samil with all the people we just met.  Its really too bad they are finishing up school and wont be around while we are, hopefully we can meet a lot more people.
