Day 1
Today was our first day in Spain. Our trip was pretty long and me and tim are still feeling a ot of culture shock. When we got to Madrid to switch planes me and tim were going through security and we saw there wasnt a line yet, so we just went under the ropes to the front and some security guys start yelling at us really fast in spanish saying something along the lines of "you Americans think you run the world". So that was pretty embarassing.
When we got here we found that fewer people than we expected speak any english at all, but we are communicating surprisingly well. We have been trying as much of the different types of food as we can but its taking some getting used to. The meats here are much more different than I expected and a lot of the food is very oily and salty. Right behind our hotel a lady has fresh clams on a half shell that she serves right in the alley and I really enjoyed them. Tim has always been one of the pickiest eaters that I have ever known, but Im very proud of how he is trying all te different kinds of food and not eating at burger king or mcdonalds. But mostly today we just walked all over vigo, but we are still very jet lagged. I feel like everywhere I go Im taking an oral exam only Im twice as nervous.
