After class today I went to the beach with some of the students. I talked for a long time with the teacher from portugul, and it's strange hearing someone from europes' perspective of the united states and politics. I feel like sometimes when our media makes mistakes in the US they are only viewed as fact over here. Just like how it took europe longer to find out that tom cruise is mentally insane! But all the same I kept my mouth shut and listened like i've been doing here.
I've been trying not to be the stereotypical "loud, cocky american" here in Spain but I feel like a couple of the other americans aren't really doing a very good job of it.
