Formula 1
My favourite F1 driver was Ayrton Senna. He was, after my opinion, the best F1
driver through all times. After he died in an accident, Gerhart Berger and Jean Alesi
became my favourite drivers. Now that Berger has quitted F1, I want Alesi to win.
I have to admitt that Alesis chanses in 1998 does not seem to be so good. In 1997
he drove a Bennetton car. Before the 1998 season he changed to Sauber. I do not
think that this will increase his chanses to win. I think that Jean Alesi would win the
Championship if he drove for Williams or Mercedes. Williams has been the leading
team for many years now, but I personally think that Mercedes have the best car in
1998.
Ayrton Senna. (Died 1.may 1994 Imola, San marino)
The president in Brazil made the gouvernment pay for Sennas funeral. There was three days of land-sorrow in Brazil after his death. Ayrton Senna da Silva was his full name. Since da Silva is so usual in Brazil, he was called only Ayrton Senna. Senna was 34 years old when he died. During his life he won 41 GP victories. Alan Prost had the record with 51. Senna was the master of Pole Position. Senna had 65 pole position. The second best was Jim Clarke with 32.

I hope that Jean Alesi will win the Championship this year. Eaven though he is my favourite driver, I will not be dissappointed if Mika Häkkinen or David Coulthard wins.
Jean Alesi's new car.
Now that the season is over, I have to say that I am very happy. Allthough Jean Alesi became fifth, I am very happy because of Mika Hakkinen. I think that Hakkinen will be a F1 legend in the future. This season has been extremly fantastic. It started very well, and he got a great lead on Michael Schumacher. But later in the season he got some problems. There was problems with his car. But when they managed to mix together a car that could keep going to the end, nobody could stop him. I know that I am not very neutral when I say this, but It is clear that there should be a lot more focus on Mika Hakkinen than there are today. The newspapers still describe Schumacher as the world's best driver. I just want to ask: "WHO WON THIS SEASON?!"
