Stations which are co-located with private FM broadcasters,  are requested to fully comply with the security norms, for the operating staff / vehicle of private FM broadcasters, entering AIR premises, as per the guidelines issued by AIR Resources Section of Prasar Bharti. ( Pl. refer the letter enclosed).

Subject : Co-location of CTI for Ph-II Pvt. FM broadcasters
: Issuing of passes etc. for the staff / Personnel of Ph-II pvt. FM broadcaster.

            As you are aware as per Govt. of India, Ministry of I&B Ph-II FM policy, AIR Resources (PB) is sharing infrastructure with the Ph-II Pvt. FM broadcaster at 91 centres of AIR/ DD setup. Agreements with all the broadcasters have already been executed. MOU with CTI creator M/s BECIL have also been signed. Almost all the sites have been demarcated & handed over. M/s BECIL even at few centers of AIR/DD where there is single broadcaster have completed CTI work.

 

            Since Prasar Bharati is sharing infrastructure as per the policy of Govt. of India, Ministry of I&B, operating staff of the pvt. Broadcasters as indicated in clause 5.2 of the agreement ( copy available on AIRNET may be referred to ) signed between private broadcasters and AIR  Resources (Prasar Bharati) is permitted to enter in AIR/DD premises after following security norms.

 

            Security Officer of the concerned station will issue temporary entry passes for the operating staff of these broadcasters. For this broadcasters/ M/s BECIL shall have to give a list of staff in advance certifying the bonafide credential of the staff engaged for this purpose including the verification of antecedents from local police authourities. Any charges towards these passes if levied by the station as per their discretion are chargeable and payable by the broadcasters/ M/s BECIL. Their passes shall be of different color, initially valid for 6 months and to be renewed thereafter. Also the following is to be observed :

 

(1)   Vehicle of private FM operator/ staff will be permitted inside the premises with written permission / Pass from the designated Security Officer.

(2)   Movement of employees and staff of pvt. FM operator should be restricted to their area of operation only, except in case of maintenance / repair work on cable, antenna for which separate permission shall be required from Engineering head / Engineer In-charge on duty.
