The Diplomats formed during the cold and snowy winter months of the year 2001. Those months being January and February. Pat and Sarim were used to being in shitty bands together, such as Orville & The Anti-Socials, who played one "show" to a bunch of little kids in Sarim's backyard. The Diplomats were loosely formed from the group E.T. (Extra Testicle) which featured Pat, Sarim, and Dustin Rottenberg. Anyway, back to The Diplomats, the first Diplomats practice was held at Sarim's house and featured Pat on lead, Sarim on Rhythm & Vox, and Tom on bass. The other notable attendee was Connor Ackerman, on drink mixing. Later on, in the spring time of the year 2001, Tretiak was enlisted on the DRUMS. Aruthur then joined last in the late summer of 2001, on TRUMPET. The Diplomats then proceeded to begin "killin' it" and sheeyat.
