Supples Needed to Care For Your Betta Fish
Steps on how to have a long living, healthy Betta
Step 1. You will need to buy a small tank for your Betta to live in.
Step 2. Buy some spring water to use. Spring water is the best to use because it doesn't contain a lot of chlorine in it.
Step 3. As an addition you can add a living plant to the tank. The is a good source of oxygen for your Betta.
Step 4. You will need to put gravel in the tank. It will trap most of the waste in the tank.
Step 5. Adding a snail to the tank will keep it cleaner, because the snail will eat allegie and waste.
Step 6. You will also need a net, you you can transfer your Betta in or out of the cage.
Step 7. To keep your Betta living you will need to buy food for it. There is a varity of food for your Betta, so pick the one you think is best.
Step 8. To keep your Betta strong and healthy, you can feed him enhancers. Enhancers can increase your Betta's health, color, sight, ect.
Step 9. One last supply you will need is the water conditioner. This will help to clear the water of any chlorine or particles that are bad for your Betta.
Step 10. Now, all you need to do is buy your Betta fish!

Set Up
Step 1. Wash the tank your Betta will go in with spring water. This also includes washing anything else that will go into the tank, like the gravel and plant.
Step 2. After everythings been dry, you can set your tank up for your Betta by putting the gravel in and plant. Make sure the plant is held down by gravel.
Step 3. You can now fill your tank up with the spring water. Fill the tank up with the water until about half an inch of space is between the highset level of water to the top of the tank. Do not fill the tank up all the way. Make sure the water is at room tempature.
Step 4. Now that the tank is set up you can add the animals. Place your snail into the water. Your Betta should have come in a plastic bag filled of water or something like that. You must leave the Betta in the bag. Place the bag into the tank with the Betta in the bag. Leave it in for about 20-30 minutes. This will allow the Betta to adjust to the water in the tank while the Betta stays in it's own water.
Step 5. After the time has pasted you can remove the bag from the water and open it. Using the net transfer the Betta from the bag to the tank. Do this as quick as possible, so the Betta will be still adjusted to the tank water.
Step 6. Now that you have everything in the tank you can add the water conditioner. Usually you would add 5-6 drops of it into the water, but it depends on the size of the tank, so read the instructions on the bottle. You do this with the Betta in the tank.
Step 7. Your Betta was probably fed once by the pet shop, so you can feed it one more time. Feed your Betta one pellet, twice a day, every day. The best time to feed your Betta is between breakfast and lunch and feed it again between lunch and dinner. It should have eaten a total of two pellets each day. Depending on the food though, read the instructions on the bottle first to see what it tells you to do. Feeding the right amount of pellets to your Betta depends on it's size. Feed your Betta treats or enhancers as directed on the bottle.
Step 8. Clean the tank once a month. To clean pour the dirty water in something temperaly with the Betta and snail, so you can clean the tank. Wash everything like in step 1. Remake the tank and then pour the new spring water in the tank like in step 3. Let the water sit until it reaches room temperature. Transfer the snail and Betta back in the tank with the net. Don't pour the Betta back in the tank, otherwise you will get the dirty water back in.
*You are now complete in taking care of your Betta*
Big NO NO's
Number 1. Do not put the Betta right into the tank without letting the bag the Betta is in stay floating  in the tank's water for 20-30 minutes! This will cause the Betta to go into shock and die!
Number 2. Do not put the Betta in direct sunlight! The fish and plant still need light though, so put the tank in a spot that recieves light most of the day, but not directly in the sun!
Number 3. Do not put the Betta in a large tank that uses a fliter! Bettas prefer small tanks and no fliters, because putting it in a large tank with a fliter will tier the fish and cause it to die.
Number 4. Do not put two male Bettas in a small tank together! This will cause them to fight and one will die!
*You now know enough to have a strong and healthy Betta fish*
*Bettas can live up to two years*

Extra things for your Betta
Betta saying thanks
Grave site of a Betta
Blood worms are a great snack for Bettas. You can also feed your Betta other treats, like Brine srimp or Fruit flies.
You can also use the big gel rocks instead of gravel. They are made out of plastic and most of them colored, but you can see through them. These make the cage look better.
You can add many other things
to the cage like the statues of animals and buildings or fake plants to decorate the cage.
