Euronychodon portucalensis
Meaning: Portuguese European claw tooth
Mass: ?
Length: 2m?
Lived: in Portugal in the Late Cretaceous between 83.5 and 65 million years ago
Other species from this genus:
E. asiaticus
Place in the cladogram:
Maniraptoriformes INCERTAE SEDIS (possibly Deinonychosauria)
Although only teeth belonging to Euronychodon portucalensis were found, scientists think it may have been related to troodontids, so I based this reconstruction mainly on the troodontid Sinornithoides youngi, as well as other troodontids. If it was a troodontid, it almost certainly posessed the feathery integument depicted in the picture.
