                                               More Odds and Ends

Transmigration of Souls   The soul passing from one body  to another of a sentient being, either human, animal, or inanimate.
A cardinal doctrine of Hinduism and Buddhism, and popular among  many New Agers., which unfortunately  is used among that philosophy incorrectly meaning  the word is used interchangeability with Reincarnation.
Historically, was spread in ancient times from Iran (Persia)  eastward to Afghanistan and India, and westward to Palestine  and Greece.
Accepted by some in the sect of the Pharisees during the  Intertestamental Period, and also by some Jews in the  8th. Century A.D. John 9:2 and John 9:34 seem to be speaking to Transmigration of Souls.

Eggs- The use of eggs in magical work is  found almost globally, its uses varies, however the egg should be fresh some believe that the  fresh egg from a Black Hen is the best as other  do not have a   preference.  The egg is  used and is said to have a  widely profound healing  effects to the aura and is also reported to be a  grand indictor when someone is  or has  been exposed to evil ,spirit oppression and cleaning  the  residue of  unwanted  garbage  left on the aura  when the egg is  used for this  purpose  it is used in a special way..however  when the egg is enclosed in a jar, box ,bag, pouch  then buried  it  is a HEX and one powerful one that will cause tragedy if done incorrectly, the enclosed egg is to  do a "jinx" .  To bury anything   in itself is not  a  hex  for many recipes call  for just that to bury however  the intent and the ingredients of the recipe  determine  the type of energy that is being sent  remember even "Binding "  and  " Good Sender "recipes  are sent out to do work.
The Egg N jar  is used to trick  and jinx an enemy.., when the egg rots  that is what is being sent out to the  intended, (of course I am over simplifying  and I will go into the history and uses in more detail  on another  page )
There are a number of ways to do this recipe which depends on culture and location however most authorities   do agree on the enclosure of the egg as being "do at your own risk" magic if not done correctly what you set out to do and send will befall on you. There is an exception to this Rule and that is   the Egg in jar to detect the
"Evil Eye" or "Ojo Malo" the New Agers call them Energy Eyes" which actually is correct however the label is used incorrectly thereby using the label to mean only generic use.
The power eyes are used in healing as well as hexing so we should be mindful and very clear when referring to the type of eyes one has, folklore as well as myth tells that some people are born with the power of the evil eye to cast a curse or a spell. These people are considered by tradition to be malevolent in that they deliberately cast the evil eye on their victim (only using the power of the eyes to do evil). It has its basis on that the envious "nazar" (Turkish for evil) glance of any passer-by, attracted by an immodest show of wealth, achievement, or beauty, can harm or bewitch the unprotected person. Universally it is blamed for causing everything from bad luck and toothaches, to disease and death.
However the Evil Eye can be given innocently as the case of Staring at a baby, handsome man, or beautiful woman
Tradition states that to safely mediate the curse of the eye-is to immediately touch the victim, to "take off the eye." If the praise fails to follow these protocols, the mother may invoke religious aid by uttering "El dyo que mous vouadre de aynara i de ojo malo" (G-d save us from misfortune and the evil eye),
This is said to reduce the possibility of an evil eye incident. Family may also speak ill of children to counter damage caused by praise. That is done in many countries. (European mostly)
This  type of  "Fix"  to cure or prevent the Evil Eye by not praising  their  children is not  very common among the  Latin American  Countries  so  other type "Fix's"  are  used  The most common one  is saying the Lords prayer  over the  affected  child or person, it is widely  believed  that Babies are the most effected by the  "Look of the Eye" so having the person who is  giving the evil eye touch the baby will indeed break the  hex, there are times when this can not be done  and the Use of prayer  is mostly used unless the  victim becomes  ill and/ or enchanted then the use of   placing an egg in  a jar with a special ritual  will break it. this is the only exception   with the use of Egg-N-Jar  Hex,  perhaps you have taken note in malls or in crowded area  on nice  days  or even at night  many  women  will have their babies in the stroller yet its covered by a blanket or  thick net ,this is  often done  to protect the child from the evil eye.,( This is a widely used custom in many countries) in this case the Egg-N-Jar is not  used as a hex but a hex breaker.
Some of the  more common symptoms of a suspected  hex by the Evil Eye is -Sudden  on set of a fever, restlessness, head, stomach, abdominal pain, nausea, insistent crying, nightmares or night terrors, bed wetting  and a host of other symptoms, the evil  eye is in short a "psychic Attack"
(A more detailed text will be up soon)

Kundalini. The term means the "curl of the hair of the beloved. (Other definition of Kundalini literally means 'coiling,' like a snake) It is described as a very powerful form of psycho-spiritual energy that is curled, or coiled, at the base of the spine in the first chakra. When awakened through the disciplines of yoga, this energy uncoils and moves up through the spinal canal (the sushumna nadi), piercing the chakras and eventually entering the brain ( kundalini energy has often been called 'serpent power,  classical literature of hatha yoga kundalini is described as a coiled serpent at the base of the spine. The image of coiling, like a spring, conveys the sense of untapped potential energy' l). Great energy, power, and insight accompany the experience of kundalini in the brain. For many, this is a short-lived experience: after entering the brain, kundalini slowly begins falling, eventually coiling again in the first chakra. It is said that yogis have the ability to keep the kundalini current flowing up to the seventh chakra, giving them experiences of extraordinary knowledge, power, and bliss. On an experiential level, kundalini energy is simultaneously pure libido, pure psychic energy, and pure spiritual consciousness. It is believed that Kundalini awakening cleanses the bodily tissues of the physiological roots of emotional pain, allowing the tissues to function more efficiently, it is also said to give  Divine Presence within that gives Self-Realization "Enlightenment experiences: direct Knowing of a more expansive reality; transcendent awareness ".
Chakras. The term means circle in Sanskrit. These are the energy centers in the astral body, roughly corresponding to the spinal plexuses. Most texts speak of seven chakras, five of which are located along the spine; the sixth is located in the center of the forehead, and the seventh atop the head. Kundalini Yoga organizes its spiritual disciplines in reference to these chakras, If one of the Chakras is damaged or defective, the Kundalini may be obstructed at that level. In such cases, it is often possible to see the pulsation of the Kundalini at that level with the naked eye, and to hear it with a stethoscope. This pulsation can also be heard at the fontanel and Adi Shankaracharya called this 'spandakarika.')
Per some text it is written and many people believe that awakening the Kundalini -The process by which this unfolding occurs is complex. The kundalini will not awaken and rise until two energies are integrated and balanced. These two forces are apana and prana. Apana is an eliminating force; it affects functions operating on both gross and subtle levels in the body to expel negative energy and waste. In reference to the process of raising the kundalini, it might be considered the 'vital air' below the navel. Prana is the 'vital air' above the navel.
It is written in many places that kundalini is evolutionary energy. This is true to the extent that we accept the likelihood that the expanded states of consciousness brought about in a kundalini awakening are part of our human evolutionary future.
Many individuals whose Kundalini has been unexpectedly unleashed  do not know what is happening, and the prevailing social and / or  individual  ignorance about this multidimensional transformative process can cause confusion and can cause many things to  happen a host of physical as well as emotional issues can arrise, and of course spiritual.
For example which  has been noted is the close resemblances  between health ( physical/ mental/spiritual )oppression and the Kundalini, when people fling open the Kundalini the person  may become off balance ; illness of both emotional and physical traits  can be manifested ( this  dose not always happen  so dont start yelling " No way I never do!), causeing the person being effected  not to be able to get  the help or even  describe  the problem at hand  to anyone  therefore  offten times making it hard to find medical ,alternative health care or spiritual advisors to help  also these system do  many times go unaddressed by these same practitioners because  they do not recognize the symptoms, particularly when they are strongly physical. Many people know that the risen Kundalini flings open gates to all sorts of mystical, paranormal and magical vistas, but few realize it can also dramatically impact the body. Kundalini release can be triggered by erroneous meditation, yoga, breathing exercises, deep concentrated  thinking, reiki, qigong, healing, tantra, transcendental meditation and other eastern or new age spiritual exercises.  Sometimes triggered by a blow to the head or other physical trauma timed by your soul to awaken your psychic journey and innate abilities.
When the kundalini energy is rising through the chakras, it can cause mild to sever problems for the bodily and mental health.

The following are common manifestations of the risen Kundalini a.k.a  kundalini arousal:

Taber's Cyclopedia Medical Dictionary defines a caul as "membranes or portions of the amnion covering the head of the fetus at birth."
Many cultures believe that Children born with (actual in) a caul (Caul is pronounced "kawl" and comes as does cowl ,from the Gaelic "call" meaning "veil.")
Often have unusual characteristics ascribed to them, often times psychic abilities. Sometimes the child is said to be cursed, or singled out for a special life. Some people consider a baby's caul to be a good luck omen, and it's said that wearing a caul (presumably in a amulet bag) can save you from drowning. There are full and partial cauls.  A full  caul has the membrane that encases the head from the top to  just along the chin and jaw line.  A partial caul is from  the top of the head to the top of the cheek bones and tip of  the nose.   Because of how the caul covers the face, it is  as if the child is wearing a very delicate veil.  Often if  not almost always the Child born with a caul not on head--face is over looked , their are  children born that have the caul covering one arm. belly,  one or both hands and  some even have been reported to be born in caul only to both feet ( a full webpage will soon be up on this  topic )Sailors from as far back as Ancient Roman times  as well as great Greek and  Roman statesman sought to purchase cauls believing that if they wore them in  an amulet bag around their necks this would be enough to  protect them from drowning.  It was also felt that the caul should be kept with the child to insure his/her life is one full of good luck and fortune.  A child would be cursed if  the caul were mistreated or lost.

"In Icelandic tradition, the caul or fetal membrane appearing at birth is associated with a guardian spirit called a fylgja.  This fylgja can take many forms after birth, including an animal, an inanimate object (such as a cloak), or another human being, and often serves as a kind of warning against potential danger.  Interestingly, the caul itself has been regarded as bestowing a protective influence against drowning in Anglo-Saxon culture (it was cited in this context, for example, at the beginning of Charles Dickens' classic novel David Copperfield.)"  Some believe that "cauled" children have the ability to see   behind the veil of life and death and that they can   communicate with the dead and intuitively know things.  With these psychic abilities one would hope for a special life.  However, for some they feel they are cursed.  Their knowing  something is going to happen, hearing voices, or seeing  entities is frightening to them and their loved ones.

Pendulum Divination
-A simple tool used for communicating and gaining guidance from the spiritual world. This is one of the easiest methods of divination. When used for divination, the pendulum acts as an amplifier that signals energy vibrations coming from a spiritual guide or the divine. These vibrations focus their attention on the pendulum and cause it to move in specific directions, giving you the answers to the questions you put to the tool.
The pendulum is simply a string or chain, waited by a pointed or spherical crystal or some other form of heavy object. It is best to use all natural materials in the construction of your pendulum and its string or chain. To use a pendulum, sit at a table. Rest the elbow of your writing hand and hold the end of the chain between your thumb and forefinger. Ask a "yes" or "no" question. Hold your arm and the chain perfectly still and wait. The pendulum will begin to swing. There are two different methods of interpreting these movements. If the pendulum swings in a circle either clockwise or counter clockwise, the answer is yes; if it swings in a back and forth motion the answer is no. If it refuses to move, to answer is given.
The
second method of interpreting involves only circular motion. A clockwise circle is yes; a counterclockwise motion, is no.

Quarters- The North, East, South, and West parts of a magical circle or other ritual area. ( "Watchtowers")

W atch Towers- Originally from the Enochian branch of Ceremonial Magic, now incorporated into many "Traditions" of Wicca, these are the four elemental "directions" or "quarters" (corresponding to the appropriate points on the compass) called to protect the Circle during its establishment. Each of them have a correspondence between the compass point, an element, and (varying amongst different traditions) color associated with them.  Also  used as ,1) A term used to describe the Elementals who are Energy Forms, Raiths or Spirits of the 4 Elements.  2) Originally used in the Enochian Tradition of Ceremonial Magic but whose usage is now widespread. They are both visible & physical and invisible & spiritual. They are invoked during ritual as protectors of our Circle of Power & sometimes as advisors. Some 'set' these Guardians, during rituals in a more complex exercise than simply invoking the Elements.
3) Those Entities connected to the Elements & Directions & certain attributes as follows:
--
North     Air         thought & intellect                 Male         yellow
--
East       Earth     stable, solid, dependable      Female     green...
--
South     Fire       change, passion, willpower   Male        red.....
--
West       Water   emotions & purification          Female    blue....
--
Center    Spirit     intuitiveness                          unsexed soul

Sigils Magic--the conscious mind is not directly capable of performing magic (in fact, it inhibits magic,) so the subconscious mind must have the magical intent implanted in somehow it so that it might "unconsciously" manipulate aesthetic information to bring about the result. A sigil is any glyph or symbol with mystical or magical significance, Sigil Magic uses these glyphs as a means to bridge the gap between the conscious and subconscious mind. It compares in some respects to traditional "talisman magic", in which predetermined symbols (such as planetary or astrological ones) are used to embellish a physical device that will encompass the "power" represented by those symbols. Generally, the talisman is subsequently carried by the user as a "charm". In  sigil  magic a customized tool designed to bring about a specific effect, and it's physical basis is only used once at the time of the subconscious implantation, after which it is generally (although not always) destroyed

Aspecting- Any advanced magical activity in which a practitioner manifests a particular aspect of the Goddess or God, in thought, feelings, behavior, appearance, etc.; Often as a direct result of a "Drawing Down". Often a minor variation of this phenomena occurs with the selection of a "Magical Name", of Craft Name.

Anthropologists distinguish three types of magical practice:
-
Homeopathic magic, or the use of small portions of a thing to represent and affect the whole;
-
Sympathetic magic, in which a symbolic action (for example, sticking pins into a doll) affects an object with which the symbol is in "sympathy" or harmony;
-and
Contagious magic, the influencing of one thing through contact with another that is believed to be magically charged.

water sprinkling -The scattering of small drops of water or perfume on the sitters, walls, and furniture during a sance signifying and indication from spirit that they approve of the activity or thoughts. However this  practices is not to popular with most  Mediums/ psychics, reason being odor and / or tempture as  usually the first things to change when an entity is present, the perfume mast the odors, however water if used  is  believed to be a conductor of electricity

Examples of PK
  PK, the abbreviation for psychokinesis
1) Telepathic sender -- the transmitter in the telepathy just
  discussed.
2) Psychokinesis (or telekinesis) proper -- the ability to move
objects by means of psychic force.
3) Somewhat along the same lines are poltergeist (noisy ghost)
phenomena in which objects move of their own accord or noises
are heard. There is always a human agent involved -- frequently
a teenage girl -- who appears to be the source of psychic
  energy.
4) Psychic healing -- the ability to heal various illnesses and
infirmities. There are many documented cases of this. Usually
it involves a healer and a subject, although there are recent
cases involving cancer patients learning to heal themselves.
5) Teleportation, apportation, and levitation.  Some occultists
feel a magician producing PK effects is simply a channel for
universal energy. Others think the force originates some way
  directly within the magician
-
Hard Determinism (aka Metaphysical Determinism) In theology, fatalistic belief that individual people have no real choices, but are controlled by superior forces like puppets attached to a puppeteer's
strings.

In philosophy, the dictum that nothing happens without sufficient reason; the world is a mechanism; and choices are already determined by previous conditions. Thus humans have no truly "free" will in the sense of being able to make a decision or choice in isolation of any past condition or situation.
[ This is very similar to the Reformed Theology concept of human will.

EXAMPLES OF ESP
ESP, the abbreviation for extra sensory perception, means the reception of information through paranormal means (i.e. not regular physical senses of sight, sound, touch, smell, or taste).  In theory, this is accomplished by receiving psychic force from outside the body. Here are some examples of ESP:
1)
Clairvoyance, or Remote Viewing -- the ability to sense or  'see' (non-physically) distant objects, places, and
people. Individuals who see ghosts and spirits are probably clairvoyant.
2)
Clairaudience, or remote hearing -- the 'hearing' of paranormal information.
3)
Astral Projection (OOBE) or Traveling Clairvoyance -- Full experience at a remote location while the physical body sleeps.
4)
Psychometry -- the reading of information by the touch of physical objects.
5)
Telepathic receiver -- the ability to directly receive thought (communication) at a distance, with no physical connection to  the sender. There are many everyday examples of this, in which we think something just as another person is about to say it. This is an easy one to test for through experiment. Very dramatic cases of telepathy have been recorded; there is often an emotional element in such cases.
6) A
'channel' or medium, as in a sance, who is in direct communication with a 'spirit' or entity.
7)
Experience with a Ouija board, pendulum, or automatic writing.
8)
Precognition -- to foresee the future. Again, highly emotional events are the ones most likely to be 'tuned in'.
9)
Retrocognition -- knowledge of the past, by paranormal means.

Childbirth--Geodes The mysterious earth-shaped *Geodes have long challenged geologist to explain how they are formed; The term geode is derived from the Greek word Geoides which means "earthlike."

Pumice- is a light, porous volcanic rock that forms during explosive eruptions. It resembles a sponge because it consists of a network of gas bubbles frozen amidst fragile volcanic glass and minerals.,* Sard - reddish-brown chalcedony much used by the ancients as a gem-stone. Pliny states that it was named from Sardis, in Lydia, where it was first discovered; but probably the name came with the stone from Persia (Pers. sered, yellowishred). Sard was used for Assyrian cylinder-seals, Egyptian and Phoenician scarabs, and early Greek and Etruscan gems. The Hebrew odem (translated sardius), the first stone in the High Priests breastplate, was a red stone probably sard, but perhaps carnelian or red jasper

Sand Divination
Obtain a quantity of fine sand. (Color doesn't matter.) Pour it into a square or rectangular tray to the depth of three inches. Place this on a table before you. Hold a pencil or similar object loosely in your hand and place its point on the center of the sand. Close your eyes and state your question. Breath deeply and relax.
You'll have a strong urge to move the pencil. Let it move of its own accord across and through the sand. Continue this until the pencil stops moving, or in about three minutes.
Remove the pencil and look down at the symbols on the sand. There may be legible words or symbols in the sand. There may also be Y for yes, an N for no, or a P for perhaps. Some of the most commonly seen symbols in the sand include:
-
Large circle: Misfortune.
-Small circle: News, especially pertaining to work.
-
Triangle: Success.
-
Square: Obstacles.
-
A Long Line: A Journey.
-
A Short Line: A Visitor.
-A Heart: Love, relationships, and friendships.
-Broken or uneven heart: Partings.
-
A Flower: Beginnings.
-
An X: Love.
-
*If other symbols appear, interpret them with your question in mind.

General Plant Divination

Fill five flower pots with the same kind of dirt. Plant in each pot a seed of the same type of flower, on the same day and at the same time. Ensure that they have the same exposure to sunlight. For best results, do this on the day of the full moon.
On a small piece of tape, write an expected or hope-for future and apply this to the side of one pot. Continue until all five pots have been designated with five different features. (Small signs attached to sticks or twigs may also be used, thrust into the earth near the pot's side.) Water as usual. The seed that first germinates determines the event that will most likely occur in the near future.

Sympathetic Magic--In magic, a Sympathy is a term used to describe the links between symbols and icons and the things they describe. The closer the symbol to the real object, the greater the Sympathy. You could use a knife to represent a sword - there would be some Sympathy there. A stronger Sympathy would result if an image of a sword, or say one made of wood was used. The strongest Sympathy of all would be to use a real sword. so its a type of magic where any action inflicted upon a representation of a person, animal or thing, it is simultaneously experienced by the real person, animal or thing. It is best exemplified by the myth of the voodoo doll. Sympathies are used to help guide magic.

In Mexico a Needle and thread is often used  as a pendulum  to answer yes or no question or even to answer the gender of an unborn child, for example  if the client is pregnant and wants to know  gender of unborn child  she is asked to  open her right palm  a needled  already  threaded  with white  thread is  placed over the palm  about a half inch above the palm  while the other person  place the needle  still then releases  making  sure needs is not moving ; while holding the  tip of the thread..if the needle moves  back and forth its a boy if the needle moves in circular motion its a girl ( the needle can also be done over the husband palm at a later  hour or date it too will read the same as for wife) for regular yes or no answers  straight back and forth  is NO circular is YES and  if it moves with both circular and straight back and forth the answer is MAYBE.

The Glowline is a magical boundary which surrounds most of the Lunar surroundings. It can be perceived by various magical means, and (like all magic) becomes briefly visible at twilight. Within the Glowline, all Lunar cult magic, Lunar divine magic, Lunar sorcery and Lunar Magic is beneficially affected as if the moon were full, although the Red Moon still visibly goes through its phases in the normal manner

Dark Moon Magic -From ten-and-a-half to fourteen days after the full moon. The dark moon is a time for ridding oneself of bad habits, Binding spells, for exploring our darkest recesses and understanding our angers and passions. Also bringing justice to bear.

Traditional Magic: Traditional usually refers to longstanding schools of knowledge passed down orally over the ages, often within families. Witchcraft is one of the most visible of these practices, Shamanism is another. These practices usually include legit herbal and medical knowledge.

The Apple--- Using a silver knife, peel an apple so that it comes off the fruit in one unbroken strip. (If the peel breaks while paring, try again at a later time and eat the apple.)When you've been successful, ask your question and throw the peel over your left shoulder. It will produce a shape on the floor behind you. If this shape is anything other than an O or U, the answer is yes. Another apple divination is related to the daisy rite described below. It exists in many variants; here is one of the most popular. Find an apple that still has stem end attached. Ask your question. Hold the apple in your left hand and, with your right, begin twisting the stem. With each twist, say yes or no. The word that you say when the stem twists off (or directly prior to this occurrence) signifies the answer to your question.

Argemone Mexicana Powder--Called "food of the dead" by the ancient Aztecs and sacred to their rain-god Tlaloc, has been introduced from Mexico long ago to China and is now growing wild in Xishuangbanna. The local Yao people who have been using opium for centuries are taking tea from the leaves to help them to quit smoking opium. The plant has white and yellow poppies. The herb and flowers are smoked to produce a mild sedating effect. The whole plant can be extracted to produce a substitute with much stronger sedative properties, I have not see it sold in the US  for ingestion.

Claircognizant -- Is said to be clear and certain knowingness that comes into one's consciousness "out of the blue" such as an idea, concept, thought or fact; as in a profound revelation that is a result of an open Crown Chakra.

Ashes--
Collect ashes from dead fires or the fire place. Outside, in a place where the wind usually blows at some time, scatter the ashes to a good depth in a rectagular shape on the ground. While asking your question regarding the future, use a finger to write the word yes in the ashes to the right and no to the left. Leave them undisturbed overnight. In the morning, study the ashes. If both words are clearly legible, no answer is possible at this time. If one has been erased by animal tracks, the wind or by some other force, the remaining word reveals the answer to your question. If both words are gone, again, no answer has been given.

Protection Oil --1/8 cup base oil 4 drops Basil 3 drops Geranium 2 drops Pine 1 drop Vertivert Wear for protection against all kinds of attacks. You can also anoint windows, doors, and other parts of the home to guard it.

Chaos Magic: This means different things to different people, which it should not because Magic  should be understood at it's form; but  anyway  here is a very broad definition  it's an approach in which the magician steals whatever he or she thinks will work from whatever other category. It may also include elements of chaos theory, quantum physics and cybermagic, applied with varying degrees of actual scientific understanding.Chaos Magic is dangerous, awesome, full of potential and therefore highly compelling. It is "no-holds-barred magic". The rule is that there are no rules, besides learning what works for you and using it to accomplish your will, while avoiding getting stuck in rut of doing everything the same way all of the time.
