Baxter is the first Miniature Schnauzer in the U.S. to earn the ARCH and the ARCHX titles.

Baxter  (registered name Rescue's Black Tie Baxter) is our newest rescue. He's a 7 yr. old dark salt & pepper mini schnauzer with a sweet demeanor. (he's not a black & silver as many folks assume).  He came to our home 8/19/04 as a people-oriented only pet, with limited  experience with other dogs.  We've had playgroups and Baxter is not aggressive or dominant. He's quickly learning how to interact with other dogs, and always enjoys his toys. He is very curious & is into everything.   After 6 wks of watching his brothers dig for moles, Baxter's terrier instincts awakened.  He dug & emerged with a beardful of dirt and a smile on his face! Graduation ...11/22/04 Baxter graduates from his basic obedience class with a 157/160, the highest score. 2/13/05: Baxter passed his AKC Canine Good Citizen test. 5/14-15/05: An earthdog trial in WV at the IQ level. We didn't pass, but he did well in the tunnels. 8/19/05:  Baxter qualified in two APDT Level 1 Rally Trials. He was distracted, but managed to scored 190/200 (5th Place ribbon), and 187/200 (4th Place ribbon) in his trials.  9/24/05:  Baxter was focused winning 2nd place with a 97 in AKC Rally Novice A. 9/25/05 Baxter scored a 99 and 1st Place in Rally Novice A to earn another leg.  A successful AKC debut. 10/15/05 Bax earns his first title ever...APDT's Level 1 Rally title (RL1) with a 197 score, winning the tie break for 2nd place.  Way to go! 12/2/05: Catoctin Kennel Club Rally trial, 1st Place in Novice A class, 100 score. Our first AKC title, RN. What a great job Baxter! 1/28-29/06: AKC Rally Advanced A score 93, first leg.  AKC Novice A: 192, 2nd place, first obedience leg. 3/31-4/1/06: Novice A: 188.5, 3rd place.  Rally Advanced A: 90, 3rd place. 4/21/06: Columbia Terrier Assoc. Trial/Novice A, 2nd place. Qualifying score. Bax finishes his AKC CD ! 5/13-14/06: APDT Rally Trial hosted by B.A.D. Baxter earned 2 legs in Level 2, placing 1st and 3rd.  Great job. 6/10/06: Bax finishes his RL2 with a First place at Pup N Iron in VA. 7/15/06: Earned our third leg with a 94 in Rally Advanced to earn our RA ! 9/9/06: Pup N Iron, Fredericksburg, VA. Baxter finishes his APDT Rally Champion title in 5 straight double Q's.  1/28/07: Baxter finishes his APDT Rally Champion Excellent title. The first of his breed in the country to earn the ARCH (APDT Rally Champion) & the ARCHX (APDT Rally Champion Excellent) titles ! 6/17/07: Bax finishes his RL3 APDT Rally title with a 207 score & first place ! 10/12/08: Baxter finally finishes his ARCHEX (APDT Rally Champion Extraordinaire) in Frederick, MD.  Great work and we're so proud of our boy.
