The Cult of Personality in America Today
When one talks about the "Cult of Personality" one thinks of the one man that started it all, Communist dictator Jospeh Stalin of the Soviet Union. It was a strange look at making one seem bigger than life, and Stalin seemed to do this very well. Every where you went you saw Stalin's face, on posters on walls, on signs, the royal palace, on gigantic banners during parades of commnist propoganda. It was this that made the Russian people think that Stalin was the one true leader, and almost, a god in his own right.

But how does this fit into America today you say? Well, just look around you. Every where you look today, in magazines, billboards, TV, you see what Americans want to be. You see the buff man, showing off his muscles to three women, all for the sake of selling the "perfect" body or selling some mindless product that the commercial of bill board has nothing to do with. Then there are the beautiful women selling soft drinks, when they know sex sells, and have no desire to drink the soda but drink it because "she's drinking it!"

It's everywhere. On almost every channel. "You wanna look like me? Then drink this!" Do you want the product or the sell out selling it. And think of the beer commercials that show people getting drunk, but at the same time, there's a party, so it's okay. All of these, half-truths. We see it everyday, and don't deny that you yourself have fallen into the mindless "Cult of Personality" traps. I've seen it, and I've fallen for it myself. I bought a product because of the women in the commerical. You think you like it but as soon as you leave the store, you think to yourself "God Dammit! I just wasted 50$ on this fucked up shit" then you walk over and toss it in the trash.

It truly is sad. We think of these people as gods and figure heads, all because of our own "Cul of Personality." They are the "perfect" person, and we all admire them and fallow them. This is where are society has gone wrong. We were founded on individualism, but it seems that we havelost that in the whole corporate, gotta look like that world. So, my fellow comrades, I emplore you, act on your own free will, and don't fall into the cult of personality in America today.
