Cassandra Nodley felt blessed when her father gave her the Faires, for Betsy was wonderful with a needle. Betsy didn't even mind helping Cassandra to dress in the mornings. Betsy was proud to be the servant of a woman who had her own hat shop. If the household chores were done, she would offer to clean the back room of the shops
for Mrs. Nodley. She enjoyed bringing the ladies their lunch. Everyone loved her cooking, especially her pies which she learned how to bake from the cook at the house of Cassandra Nodley's father.
Betsy was a head taller than her husband. She was lean and has red hair like her husband's. She always managed to keep it under a cap so well that Clara liked teasing her by wondering if she really had any hair. Betsy has blue eyes that still held a little pain from the loss of her one and only baby, even when she was at her happiest. |
