Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies

1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Vanilla Extract
3/4 Cup Margarine, softened
3 Cups Flour
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
Egg White, slightly beaten

Cream sugar, salt and margarine thoroughly. Beat egg and extract into creamed mixture until light and fluffy. Mix flour and baking powder, gradually stir into creamed mixture. Roll dough out 1/8" thick on floured board. Cut and put onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Brush with egg white; sprinkle with sugar.
Bake at 350 degrees for 11-12 minutes.
