This book covers a period of great change in Liverpool when older properties were demolished without any regard to their importance to the city, often replaced with buildings of little character.  A good collection of full-page photographs show what has been lost. Although not area specific, the style of streets, flats and gardens will be familiar to many who lived through this period.  If youve ever visited any of the gardens youll recognise instantly the familiar style that existed in all of them; the landings, the playgrounds and the gangs of kids.
