this is another toy that i didn't pay for. i kinda paid for it by buying mario an ice cream for using his five finger discount on it. i found this gem at rite-aid in the uptown area of the city of whittier of the state of california. this little adventure started out with a repair job. i had to replace 6 rubber buttons with 6 momentary pushbuttons. since it's very hard to get solder to stay on an exposed trace, i had to poke little holes in the pcb to put the wires through and then solder them on and then tape everything in place. i didn't expect my repairs to work but amazingly, they do. so now that it worked properly, i had to bend it. after all if it 'aint broke then don't fix it, but if it is broke, fix it and then break it. i added a photosensor and a trim pot that both lower the pitch to very very low, a switch to choose between them or both off, and an 1/8" output. i had to use Sailormouth's technique of putting added components in the handle area and covering it up with something. i just broke a piece of a cd case and sanded it to shape. i painted that silver and another part silver and another part orange and another part green and i haven't decided what else to paint and what color. this is a really nice toy. it wails.
