affectionate porker even if his size can be intimidating to the inexperienced.

Guido became a citizen of the kingdom 3 years ago, but I'm not sure how old he is. Up to that time he was living in the country with an IRS agent. Pot belly's life expectancy is around 15 years. He was a free-range swine for awhile until we could build him a pen with a house. He is surprisingly affordable, and we rationalize not turning him into bacon by using the pig guano for fertilizer.
When he first arrived, he had a bad attitude. Not surprising considering the fact that he was all alone in the hills for about 2 years, making him almost feral in a confined sort of way. (the IRS agents family maintained him at great expense of time rather than surrender him to animal control). He managed to wallow away a couple of trees in the kingdom before it became imperative to house the little beggar.
