Smokey Joe was a stray and sick puppy at the Michigan Humane Society (MHS).  His foster parents adopted him at the age of 4 months in 2000.
He is now a happy & healthy 5 year old.

He likes to attend obedience classes using positive training methods like those offered at the MHS.

He has accomplished many things since his adoption including passing the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test, Therapy Dog International (TDI) test,
Dog Scouts of America (DSA) test, and earned his Pack Dog Title (PD).

He also loves to do volunteer work with his mommy.
There are lots of ways people can volunteer to make a difference in their communities.
Some of the things we like to do include promoting responsible dog ownership & positive training methods, fostering & helping shelter dogs get homes,  raising funds for good causes, and therapy visits.
