Hi! I see you've been told how to find the extra art page (or been lucky enough to find it on your own -- in the latter case, please just go back to the rest of the site). I'm putting this up for the artists who draw me; here I've got comments on all of the art that I've got so far to guide folks in the future. There are so many great artists on FurryMuck that I hate to think I'm not doing everything I can to help them! I suggest having two browser windows open so you can look at the pictures and my comments at the same time.
dina_amberdrake1.jpg (33k) is that common picture and the first picture ever done for me. It's pretty accurate for build (and the costume is a very popular one that I 'borrowed' from the Marvel Comics character the White Queen); the face and hair are done cartoon style, so don't worry about them. A nice sketch, eh?
Dinacomp.jpg (87k) by Dobbs (who I'd commission again in a heartbeat if he were selling art again; I love his line work, detail, and the shading on the hair). Speaking critically, he and Amberdrake both drew my ears too big, but that's not important -- and he did remember my earrings. He also drew certain other features bigger than they really are, but I'm not complaining! ;-)
dina_by_harlin.gif (35k) Guerilla debugging. My God, I look like a Keebler elf! It's the hat, I swear. It's a good cartoon, though. As you'd expect, I have that outfit.
dina0001-millia (37k) Dina in blouse & skirt. Millia's four pictures really surprised me, mostly because I was only expecting one! Boy, did I ever get my money's worth! Okay, this first one makes me look about twelve, but that's just the way she draws faces; I like it. (I don't have that blouse & skirt combo yet.) For once, my ears don't rise above the top of my head, which is correct.
dina0002-millia (54k) In black with a whip, as you see to the right. Yum! I couldn't improve that if I'd been with Millia as she drew.
dina0003-millia (47k) Nude, mostly decent (the only nude to date). I have no idea why she drew me in toe socks. :-) I don't know why she included the collar, and I think I'm to embarrassed to ask ... what's the meaning of me pointing to a collar?
dina0004-millia (51k) Me at the computer, laying down. Cute! (I've got to write up that outfit.) Millia seems to omit my nose, but I think that's just her style, like the round face.
dina_nereid.jpg (40k) Nereid surprised me with this Poser picture. All things considered it's not bad, although my hair doesn't do that and I'm modeled more square faced than I should be; it's as good as any first draft has a right to be, I say. It's kind of flat looking, but how can I complain? It's better than what I can do; I don't have Poser at all. And he got the props and wardrobe right! ;-)
Di_wpi3.jpg (139k) Over on Le Jardin Muck I worked with rendis for a while and polished up what he did, so this is pretty good! We went through three different hair models before getting it right; I still think it could be a little wavier at the ends but it's wonderfully better than the first attempt. The leather thong teddy was his idea! (Nice butt shot, though.) For all the revising, he got my ears right the first time; that's just how they should go. Incidentally, that's the Whipping Post Inn in the background, a real place on LJM. He also did a nude version... Modesty (hah!) prevents me from commenting, but it's reasonably accurate.
DinaAndBrongaar.jpg (61k) One night in the Auction Hall some of us were chatting and Brongaar whipped out this piece. His style isn't what I particularly look for, but he's very fast!
Dina in the Park (105k) by our own Rabbi_Tom! I'm sure everyone here reads his West Corner of the Park webcomic, right? Anyway, a while back he was bored and included a few bystanders into the comic, including me. :-) I think most of my appearance here is attributable to the Rabbi's stylistic conventions; he's used his standard animal ears for elves, apparently. But who's complaining? It was nice of him to put me in the strip! I'd put the strip here on the page, but it's >100k and some of you might be on dialup.
Found pictureself-24b.jpg (75k) Long ago on FurryMuck, I was talking with Brutus and Maria (both now departed from the muck, sadly) and was pointed to a site full of someone's elf art. This one caught me almost perfectly; I think it's the eyes and the facial expression. (My earrings aren't that heavy, but at the time I was even wearing a collar very much like that.)
Elf134.jpg (53k) By the same guy; I don't have that much hair! You can see him getting into the large-eyes look here.
elf14col.jpg (155k) Here's one in color. I'm not sure I'll keep this on the site, as it's kind of big compared to how close I think it is to my appearance, but I want to show the blue eyes.
twin_lee.jpg (45k) Ignore most of the facial shape here but remember the hair and the sweep of the ears. This guy gets the ears just right.
joyl-16a.jpg (34k) I didn't include this one at first, but it's worthwhile; this one has good ears, too (and earrings like mine), although the body is disproportionately small relative to the head. Mostly I like the general build, which is good; my chest may be a little smaller than is drawn here but my butt's much better! :-)
Fayona (180k) This one is great! The face and ears are wonderful. Fayona's hair is too dark and her chest too flat to be spot on for me, but who cares? The general feel of the piece is just right; if you're an artist, do more like this.
fawn1.jpg (29k) It's not me, exactly; more like me as if I were a supermodel... This is the one to the right. I'm not that...um...well, I'm just not, okay?
Orc_Fun.jpg (157k) That's not my idea of fun! But the elf girl's figure is just right; in fact, none of the individual details are very far off, so it may be puzzling that the whole just doesn't say 'Dina'. A lot of technically less accurate pieces capture the feeling of me much better.
LRV_data.jpg (57k) and LRV002.jpg (43k) Two photos of Linda Rhys Vaughn, a playmate from the early 1980s; stick a pair of Spock ears on this woman and you have me. Notice her facial expressions, too. Absolutely perfect!
Summertime.jpg (210k) This is another one that's bigger than I like (see below), but it's not bad at all. I think my favorite part of this is the smile. Dina at Libertyville Nude Beach, you think?
Umm by TwiztidKidd (300k). This is another I just stumbled across (on Renderosity); the file size is bigger than I like but I've included it anyway. First I'll address the clothes; I'm not into vinyl and I don't really care for the stockings or the arm wraps. Having said that...gee! It's me! The build and the hair color are right, the face and features and ears are close enough -- she's even wearing gold hoop earrings like I do! Apparently this guy just dreamed me up...
Cuteyful (163k) is another he did, which is a pretty good face and hair reference for me. Add ears and some wave to the hair, make the eyes blue, and that's me as close as a render can be expected to get.
Playful (297k) is basicly a full length view; it's big, but pretty. I could wear that, too!
pe_nov.gif (11k, at left) and pe_0025.gif (30k); I just found these on the net somewhere (and have forgotten where). For found art they're not too bad, since you can't expect much from small cartoony images. My hair isn't waist-length and my ears aren't horizontal, for what it's worth -- but who cares?
Britt Ekland (14k, as seen to the right) was a minor actress in a James Bond movie (and not much else, apparently), but she's got the right look and hair and build; see her also here (45k) and here (43k). And, no, I don't know what that gizmo is that she's playing with. But I should have one. ;-)
You can see undressed views here (157k) and here (150k) as well, if you like... That's more like how I should look!
There must be plenty of pictures of this actress around, but Google wasn't too helpful. I'll add in more good views of her when/if I find them.
