"My son got both a GameBoy color and GameBoy Advance for his birthday. He had problems viewing the screen there was so much glare. We returend the GameBoy Advance because the GameBoy Color was good enough." A review for the GameBoy Advance basicly read when the thing was pretty new and GameBoy Color games were still abundant. I bet that kid wishes he still had his advance because GBC (GameBoy Color) games are pretty hard to find now. And forget about original GB (GameBoy) games. They don' t even make those anymore. Now to really start this rant. Why did the kid return his GBA? (GameBoy Advance) Because of GLARE. What kind of stupid reason is THAT!? Yes, everbody experiences glare at one point in there life but do you really need to RETURN the system just because of it? If you experience glare HOLD THE FRICKIN' THING AT A DIFFERENT ANGLE!!! Also NEVER hold it directly under a light. That is the STUPIDEST thing you could do if you want to avoid glare. I think that people that complain about this just don't have enough sense to try to avoid it. When ever I play I'm usually lying down (on a bed or couch) near the light and holding whatever GameBoy I'm using at an angle. I never get botherd by a glare. I only get botherd by the shadows made on the screen from the scratches, but then I eventually get used to that to. "But I'm using a worm light to play in the dark! There's lots of glare when I use that!" Ok, first of all worm lights are probably the worst lights you could buy for your GameBoy. I don't own one but I've used one it it was driving me bonkers. For a worm light you should strecth the thing as far out as you can away from the screen. No so much as the light gets so weak that you can't see the screen but just enough so you can see the screen with minimal amount of glare. And if you don't own a worm light DON'T BUY ONE! Buy one that connects the gameboy that you can flip up or down. I've used those and their great. I don't know what their called but there not to hard to find. So next time glare is bothering you. Try to fix it before whining about it or even taking drastic measures like the kid mentioned in the begginging of this rant. |
