Here's a list of Steely Dan tribute bands with a web presence. I found out about these bands over many years, but I don't make a habit of re-visiting their sites often beyond the initial discoveries.
Some minor caveats... It's very possible some of these bands (or just their websites) may have gone away. MySpace was not as popular a site back when I started this project, so some bands could have since migrated (or simply expanded their presence) to there as well. I've uncovered a few relevant MySpace pages and added the links, but I have not actively sought them out en masse. It's also conceivable that some links here remain operable even if the bands themselves have, well, disbanded. And I've never claimed that this list is in any way complete or definitive. If anything, I've consistently maintained that it's most likely not.
These bands are often surprisingly good and all bring a certain energy and sincerity to their Steely Dan tribute efforts. I will not try to persuade you which ones are best---you can sample their efforts and decide for yourself. Where possible I try to provide links directly to audio sample pages.
Also, you may want to check out Tribute City for possible new listings of Steely Dan tribute bands, although the last I checked---and I admit that it wasn't recently---their list doesn't seem to change much or often. Anyway, here goes...
