Hi. I am Dimitris . I am 41 years old and i am working in a hospital.
I've been interested in astronomy many years ago, since i was very young. I was looking
at the night sky wondering what lies up there.

My first telescope came at my 27s. It was a little 60 mm refractor. Since then i observed
the sky with many telescopes, but no one of them gave me the satisfaction i had with
that little one refractor. One year later came my real telescope. The C-8+.It was a joy to use and
delivered excellent views of the cosmos. I was fortune enough to have next to me a pre-
cious friend, who really helped me find out my way at the sky.
This is my friend, Fred Ley, during solar observation. Fredy , thank you.

Now, i am using my dream telescope. The Celestron S.C.T Ultima 11 Pec. I characterize it
as dream telescope because it is heavy enough for astrophotography but light enough
for transporting it to the fields. This telescope has excellent optics and gives the sharpest
images i ever seen, of the Moon ,Planets and beyond.
My main interest in astronomy, is astrophotography. Because my telescope lacks a ccd
jack for auto-guider, i am forced to manually guide my images. This is painful enough, but
also, it gives me the felling that these pictures are really ''mine''.
For serious astrophotography, i am traveling to my village at Panetolikon mountain. My observing
site lies 650 meters above the see level. The sky is really dark. You can see with unaided eye, 6.5 magnitude stars.
I'd like to make a note for another hobby of mine. It is photography. I develop the films (color-
b&w-negatives or slides) by myself. I like being lost in my darkroom creating photographs thanks
to John. This is John with his C-8.

This is all for now. Let's hope the adventure in astrophotography shall go on.
Thank you very much for being with me.
Dimitris
