How to Enter A Photo Show
You will need:
Two (2) 6" x 9" manila envelopes
10 or more (preferably) show photos will filled out backs and class numbers
Stamps
One (1) plastic baggie
Money for entry fee

1. First, assemble some quality photgraphs of competitive models.
Rio Rondo has an excellent primer on model photography. Some molds which consistently do well in Original Finish Halter are Lady Phase, Stud Spider, Bug Ben, the Saddlebred Weanling, Huckleberry Bey (Breyer models), the Peter Stone Ideal Stock Horse and the Peter Stone Arabian.

2. Place your photos, entry fee, and three extra stamps (write your initial on the backs of the stamps in case they're mixed up with someone else's) into the plastic baggie and close the baggie. Write the number of photos, number of stamps, and amount of money onto another piece of tape and stick it to the baggie. The stamps are in case your return envelope does not have enough postage.

3. Put the baggie into one of the manila envelopes and address the envelope to the showholder. DO NOT seal the envelope. Address the second envelope to yourself. Take both envelopes to the post office and have them weighed to determine the proper amount of postage.

4. Put the self addressed envelope (with enough return postage on it) into the other envelope and seal the outside envelope. Pop it into the mailbox and wait with bated breath (be sure to bug the postman/ post office employees AT LEAST once per day) for the next 4-6 weeks until the results/ possibly ribbons arrive. Have fun!
A clean, well taken show photo of DAD Ground Zero. The model is in focus and the face is in clear view.
