| With my wife starting a new tenure track position in the Classics Department at the University of California, Irvine and me supporting the Air Force Space and Missile Center in Los Angeles we needed to relocate from Englishtown New Jersey, to IrvineCalifornia. So we left the kids with the grandparents, loaded our belongings on a UHAUL truck, and started out on a 2813 mile journey. Through 11 states (New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada and California), passing the cities of Columbus, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, Denver, and Las Vegas, in 4 days we reached our final destination in sunny southern California |
