| This was a simple modelmaking assignment, where we had to use a lines plan to build a 1:1 scale model by. It had to be made out of timber and mounted on a black perspex plate. Everyone in the class went for "waterline construction", but I thought it would look lots better made out of one piece. The process took 10 times as long, but looks just as many times better (as I would think ofcourse.....) Kauri is the lighter timber, with Mahogany as the waterline (with a sheer - look closely). Big thanks to Peter Sewell for teaching me how to do this! |
