A Changing Life
Dimity St. Clair-Ace
Life Actually
Times, oh my, have they changed.
Friends leave, new one arrive, all the while she smiles.
How could she not?
So much to be thankful for.
Another year slipping by.
Another to come.
The journey continues.

It is not one full of woe and turmoil.
Hers is a much happier story.
There is a share of heartbreak, as with any story.
It would not seem as good as of life without some turmoil.
How interesting a story would that be?

A family of her own.  A son and a daughter.
Now fully understanding what her mother meant by the words "I hope you have a child just like you".
Often found behind the bar of the Midnight Blue Tavern, greeting patrons with her smile.

Now married.
The man with the paitience of a saint.
Jason, who looks at her with those eyes, and she nearly melts.
The father of her children,
and the one that her soul truely loves.

They work in synch, neither one faultering their movements, just like their life together, everything in synch.  These moments she could not be happier.

Time has its way of slipping by.
Like the sand in an hourglass; not even realizing that the minutes have turned into hours.
When did her life become everything she dreamed of?
Taking a step back, looking at all that she has.
With a smile and a nod, she goes about her life.
Loving the day to day things.
Things are turning out much better than expected.
