I Love You, Stranger Kind
Your arms – a surging sea of waves
Now all my body lovingly embrace;
You captivate me, mystery of sea,
In your face I see the whole of me.
You hide a vehement power, it’s true,
But trustfully I’m stepping into you,
The dawn so glorious and
tender came –
A dangerous, yet fascinating game.
You’ve carried me so far from your shore
That land and bottom seem to be no more.
My heart is like a sparrow in a cage,
So full of questions, wandering again.
No sea-gull nor a sturdy rock was I,
You’ve turned me into water
giving life.
Look how the beams of light are dancing,
The waves so passionately prancing.
I love you, stranger, with my soul and mind
For you have been to me so sweet and kind.
I’ve long forgotten looking for the coast,
Along this moment’s path I won’t get lost.
