ProbeLPT is a DOS based Qbasic tool for probing the parallel port of a PC and graphically displaying the results.. It is intended for testing and troubleshooting devices that receive data from the Control and Data ports, and send data to the Status port. ProbeLPT should work on about any PC based hardware, and does not require a bi-directional printer port.
Display info about the selected pin.
Change the state of the selected pin.
Set the selected pin to strobe.
Control the rate of strobe for a selected pin.
Strobe multiple pins.
Change other pins while strobing.
Monitor Status pins while strobing.
Create a DOS bootable floppy disk.
Make sure QBASIC.EXE is on the floppy.
Copy ProbeLPT.bas to the floppy.
At the A:\> prompt type, qbasic /run ProbeLPT.bas
Follow on-screen prompts to use the program.
