At Hennepein Technical College they have a saying. "You aren't earning a degree, you're learning a career" Hennepin Tech, as it is commonly known, was where I learned the fundamentals of graphic design. Its three design programs, creative, web, and print are all award winning education programs and rated as some of the best graphic design programs in the state of Minnesota. I specialized in the Creative program while suplementing my education with courses from both the web and print programs.
SNHU prides itself of excellent education affordable to all. Here my education of graphic design went beyod the core fundamentals. Expanding my knowledge to subjects beyond graphic design such as photography. I was enrolled in the standard graphic design program which is a blending of traditional graphic design education with modern web and digital design programs.
While working at a Liquor store may not seem relevant at first, the experience I gained here was essential. At MD Liquors I learned the value of customer service. As well as the honesty and intergity that comes with working in a highly regulated industry. Following strict adherance to the law to ensure the safety of your coworkers, customers, and self.
While working for CC Sign & Graphics I worked as a production specialist. I operated the large format vinyl printers. In addition to this, I also performed pre-press work in preparing files and loading them into the RIP system. I also did vinyl graphics and sign installation.
