GENERAL COMMENTS on DILIMAN

 Slow bloomer

Hey Tobie!

Talk about a slow burn book. :) But thing are definitely picking up now. Very interesting, creepy, disturbing. So, how many more issue before it ends?

Alamat Comics

Well, I have to admit, I am actually taking a longer while working on this than I anticipated since I am using my office scanner to scan each page. In the past, I would have access to my own personal scanner, but since I moved out of my parent's house, I have yet to afford my own. Glad to see you like the book so far too, Budj. And I can't help but wonder... any chance that this book somehow in the future gets compiled and released by Alamat comics? Hehehee.. Thanks again!

 Publish! Release!

Heyo, dont you have plans to release hardcopies of Diliman??? I'd buy one if you will. (i invited him to check out the comic's latest issue)

Actually i did check out Diliman and I think I've already told you this in the Alamat ML I really dig it. Go for broke man, publish it, find a good photocopier and start reproducing. I'll be first in line to buy a copy.

Creator of Minsan Ako'y Nanaginip

Again, I thank you so much for this comment, Jon. I cannot express adequately how much gratitude I feel whenever I read comments like this. I guess the pride for one's work really grows stronger when you realise others can either relate or appreciate a stranger's work. THANK YOU!

 Uhm, I Live?

Tobie, cool online comic book! if you wish to see cool-looking cards for the tarot...research on the Crowley cards/Thoth Deck.

Richie Ramos; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Gundam

The title of the email worries me. But I do take it you're enjoying the book too. I do hope so. You were the inspiration from which Rich was based on.

Everyone, do check, Chosen, written by Lee Borromeo. Pretty neat story ongoing there. Check it out!

 New Ground

I haven't had the time to read all the way through- I'm a bit busy with school and everything- but what I have read, I like. It's a good addition to the mythology without re-treading the same ground. If I ever make it all the way through, I'll send you better feedback. No, really. Promise. :-D

Very happy to know you feel that way about it. Well, I am trying to avoid the usual cliches of mythological groups by showing superheroic acts and the like and giving a more urban magic sort of feel. I do hope you get to visit all the pages and read them soon. Would really love to hear your views on them.

 If I'm not mistaken...

Tobs,
I checked out your online comic book, Diliman. It's cool, I like it. Gabe ah? *grin*
And yeah, the local feel gives it a lot of weight. For me at least. And it actually took me a while before I realized who DYAN is.... or am I mistaken?

What can I say, there's just something about your art that I really like. I mean, I can't classify it or anything. It's a genre on it's own I guess. =) No, I'm not stroking your ego, and I'm not asking for one million Hero Points. It's just an honest to goodness admiration of your work. Bleh... me I'm a frustrated artist... drawing is beyond me and it's high time I accepted that. I can work with "bit art" (i.e. computer graphics), but I'm really still learning the ropes. Who knows huh? =)

Sam

Yes, it is him. Best to channel old memories and negativity to more positive output. :-) Still wish friendship was an option, but that bridge has long been burned down, I believe on his side.

As to the Hero Points, well, let it be known that Sam is one of my players in roleplaying games and we are currently playing the M.E.G.S. DC Heroes 3rd edition (from the no longer existing Mayfair games.) and No, he did not get any extra Hero Points for writing in.

THANK YOU for your comments Sam. Very nice of you to say that about my art. Always felt inferior about my art especially with grand masters like Arnold Arre and Gerry Alanguilan out there.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

 Typos and 22 pages

Hello Tobie,
Well, I read the 22 pages of Diliman. I guess the two issues make out one comic. Not so much is happening yet with the intros to the other characters. There were some nice imagery that made me think it was a real professional comic art for a while like the skeleton in the three pic picture. Don't know about the story since, yeah, not a lot is happening. Only the main guy seeing things then contacting his friends. If he already knows about these things, being a salamangkero, then he didn't he do more. Um, mistake in Dyan saying he knows "to" types of magic instead of "two" in page 14. Uses being drug users or what?
K!
Fero

Fero! Nice of you to check out the pages! Well, I'm trying to make the relevatory feel of the issue not be too rushed. After all, I don't really want everything out of the bag too soon eh? Yeah, kinda trying to expand on their personalities without separating too much from the non-linear storyline. I do hope it doesn't seem distracting.

Rest assured, a more clear plot should surface in time. Just trying to make sure the book feels more tension and suspense than action and adventure.

Fixed the typo. Owe you a spot in the book for that. Will see if I can get your name or likeness into a panel or two. :-)

As to Uses in page 14, the repetition suggests Gabe's emotional reaction to talking about the matter. The images should suggest what was not being said. And no, it has nothing to do with drugs. The long wide panel in that page should have a very visible, but kept vague suggestion on the lower left hand corner.

Can't wait for a full review from you on this book. Thanks for reading!

 Tip and Congrats

Thanks for the short note, as well as the Guest book entry! And yes, your suggestion has been applied. ;-) Hope you find the unfolding story better and better! < /FONT>

 expired registration codes

ei,
I liked the first two installements, couldnt comment on your guestbook because for some strange reason the registration code or something is always expired or something similar. Hmm I've always liked dark occult, supernatural stuff and the art fits the story really well.

Jon.

Glad to hear you liked the two installments. And I have to admit, I feel really happy to hear you think my art goes very well with the feel of the book. I know its still rough and very much in need of refinement, but its the best I can do for now.

As to the guestbook, I don't really know why you had that problem. Other people have posted, so it might be a local thing, or something to do with your server? You can always opt to email instead your comments.

Thanks for reading and I do hope you check the site often!
