Daram, Samar. The Municipal Government, in coordination with DILG and other national government offices, barangay officials of Poblacion 1, 2 and 3, teachers and students of Daram National High School, participated in the �Coastal Clean-up and Green the World Program� at the shoreline of Barangay Poblacion 1, 2 and 3, this Municipality, last September 22, 2006. The activity is in compliance to a Memorandum issued by Mayor Benito B. Astorga encouraging all concerned to observe the �Clean-Up and Green the World Program� and the �21st International Coastal Clean-Up,� pursuant to DILG MC No. 2006-151 and No. 2006-107, respectively. This is also part of the advocacy campaign of the Municipal Solid Management Board under the SWM Program (RA 9003), which designated Poblacion 1, 2 and 3 as pilot areas for Material Recovery Facility (MRF). |
