Spirituality Play at Babas Centre (West Harrow Sai Centre - U K) (Names of Children Not Given Here)
Talk at Bus Stop 6 Children 10 Min Play
1 Muslim 2 Hindu 3 Buddhist 4 Christian 5 Sikh 6 Non Believer
One by one starting with the Muslim, the first five reach the bus stop for a bus to take them to Puttaparthi, 2 miles away. They greet each other by saying Sai Ram to each other. This non believer at the Bus Stop and with a chewing gum in her mouth and a can of coke in her hand watches all this and is furious thinking that the bus is late.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
6 Non Believer She goes to the Muslim and asks for a light and he shows her the candle which he produces from him pocket. She says, You silly I want a box of matches for my cigarette. She then looks at all of them and laughs at them saying..You guys must be mad and must be out of your mind going together to some function. One is a Muslim and others Hindu, Buddhist, Christian and Sikh ..hahaha. Dont you all have a God of your own? Where are you all going? When she hears the word Puttaparthi (said by the Muslim), she asks, Put what? And where I put it? Why do you have to go there? All the other 5 are quiet. Then she asks, Tell me what is so special about Sai Baba?
(The 5 children have the following points for the non believer. They cover various important topics and this makes the non believer ready to go and see Sai Baba)
1 Muslim Baba teaches us about Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love and Non-Violence. This way, we will always love one another and where will there be room for hatred and doubt? Baba keeps saying Help Ever Hurt Never.
2 Hindu Baba says let the different faiths exist and flourish and let the glory of God be sung in all languages in a variety of tunes. Respect the differences between faiths and recognise them as valid so long as they do not extinguish the light of unity.
God is all forms. God is all names.
There is only one cast, the cast of Humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of Love. There is only one language, the language of the Heart. There is only one God, He is Omnipresent.
3 Buddhist Baba teaches about Meditation, The Path of Knowledge. Meditation is a constant inquiry as to who am I. What is loving and what is harsh.
Regular meditation increases our discriminative power and the need arises to conduct our wordily duties remembering Truth, Righteousness, Equanimity, Love and Non-Violence.
The rules are made by the Almighty Lord, who resides in us all. Gradually, the bad qualities called Lust, Anger, Greed, Attachment and Arrogance will diminish. The mind can be with God while the hands are at work and thereby referring to the rules for every act of ours.
4 Christian Baba teaches us the Path of Devotion. Promoting a dedicated mind selflessly in the thought of God by singing His glory, one becomes humble, polite, more approachable and ready to serve in a selfless manner.
Family and group singing also promotes unity.
Study of spiritual literature helps to pacify the mind and directs us onto the right path.
5 Sikh Baba teaches us about Path of Action and Service Activities. Being a good example is a good form of service in itself. Any free time can be used for service activities at the individual and community level without expecting any material reward or appreciation but solely to earn Gods Love and Grace.
Service is a spiritual discipline and not a pass time of the rich and well placed.
Love all serve all.
6 Non Believer Oh my God. So much Baba teaches. Can I please come with you? I promise I will throw my chewing gum and the coke. I will buy some white clothes from there and get ready and join you.
ALL THE OTHER 5 TOGETHER..Yes of course you can join us for Babas Birthday function today.
1 Muslim Look the bus is coming.
They all stand in a straight line as though they are in the bus. (Non believer in the front). Then the non believer says, We are here finally. Look Baba is there. She goes to the Altar and bows her head down and stands at the back of the line and others do the same until all have done so. Then they all bow to the people present and the play finishes.
