a forest.. rotten to the core
-Next Full moon November 9-

'RP'ing

An unearthly growl rolled slowly through the forest. All the residents of the deceased woods trembled. The usual mist that whispered around the upraised roots and upturned undergrowth flickered and crept along, only adding to the sinister mood of the forest.

Any animals that could climb immediately took to the trees, scrambling up the rotted trunks. They froze instinctively, eyes still, tail quivering. They sensed it. Cerberus was on the move. And he was hungry.

Among the few who tarried at their positions, our unpredictable young vampiress stood her ground. She, too, was hungry, and Cerberus or not, she was going to hunt. She lacked blood, and it showed within her normally scarlet eyes, which were currently a pitiless shade of black. Fists clenched and unclenched sub-consciously as she silently listened to the three-headed beast of Hell wander along. [Vixen]

The fallen angel was another among the hungered. However, this time, she was not starved of fear, as Vixen was of blood. No, but there, within the tainted heart that lay amidst the criss-crossing folds of the arteries that carried filth to her heart, there beat something anew.

She remembered. In 33 days. 33 more days. The flicker of candlelight, tinted with the dwindling scent of roses, beneath an open, starry night, and her eyes had shone more phosphorescently than the stars above. But that light was gone now, as was the...

... 33 days. She was going to do something. That string was tugging at her heart, this time more distinct than ever, and she knew what had to be done. Vixen would understand. [Hope]

The brute's massive paws tread lightly for such a heavy beast, but still, Vixen heard him. He was loping slowly, as if enjoying the fact that he was getting on the vampiress' nerves. The three-heads lolled on their own accord, one head emitting soft hunting-growls now and then.

"Wretched dog." The words were ripped from her lips as she narrowed her void-black eyes. Cerberus was within sight now. Her lips pulled into a rather childish pout. She cast a side-glance towards the taciturn fallen angel.

Cerberus dragged its behemoth body forward, paws scraping against the undergrowth. [Vixen]

With discrete subtleties, the fallen Angel slunk out of perspective, to dwell and to sort out her indecisive-ness. [Hope]

"Damn you to Hell, Cerberus," Vixen growled lowly, chucking a stick at the beast. Now immobile, the three-headed dog gazed reproachfully at her. Pity wasn't a word in Vixen's vocabulary, and she hissed back.

"You're scaring the prey off, dog."

A soft rumbling began building up within the guardian's three throats. It erupted in a full-throated snarl. Dagger-like incisors bared, it took a step forward, ears flat down in aggression. [Vixen]

Still Hope remained immersed within her realm, remaining in the shadows. Under normal circumstances, the fallen Angel would have taken pity, for that was a word that was beginning to become common in her vocabulary, and stopped Vixen from squashing Cerberus. [Hope]

"MOVE, YOU IGNORANT BEAST!" she bellowed, her own fangs sliding over her bottom lip. Irritation and hunger drove her towards the scabbed beast. If her hunger had been sated, the adolescent would've let the brute pass without bother. But...

She brought her clenched fist crashing down upon the dog's middle head. It didn't hurt of course, but the beast was aware of it. Savagely, its lips rolled back to give Vixen a close-up of the awesome set of bone crushing teeth. Unfortunately, the impression was lost upon the furious vampiress.

Finally giving up communicating with the sinister gate-guardian of Hell, she gave the nearest head an icy stare. The hems of her cloak disappeared in a vast shadow of black. Bats, millions of them, screeched their defiance to the sky as she took her leave, her thin patience having snapped; if prey wasn't going to her, then she'd have to go to them. Vixen was on a hunt. [Vixen]

All six eyes glowed with evil, all three heads snarled with hatred, as the beast proceeded with sluggish certainty. All growth shivered in fear, for they all felt the evil that had entered their beloved forest. The ground trembled with every step the accursed brute took, and the forest sensed it. The greed and evil that had lain subordinate in the back of their hearts seared through their minds, and grew until it consumed their souls. Blood that was red turned black, hearts that were pure stained filthy with greed. Cerberus forged ahead, reeking of death.

Everywhere the creature tread, it let loose a cloud of darkness upon the land, seeping into the hearts, entwining around the mind. It was angered. Very angered. Raising one of its shaggy heads towards the heavens above, it sniffed the air, yet not as a predator searching for its prey. The beast seemed fatigued. It breathed heavily; the stench of the breath from the three monstrous heads cast an eerie fog around the three fanged jaws. Mist spread around the brute, darkness painting an ominous picture.

Cerberus continued to aimlessly roam the forest, occasionally emitting a low-pitched growl. Ultimately, the three-headed monstrosity ceased its unavailing march, beneath what had once been a grand oak tree. Under skeletal branches, carefully arranging its atrocious paws beneath his behemoth body, the beast appeared to have settled down for a night's rest.

Each step rings out loudly, each breath taken raggedly. You stumble on, squinting through the darkness. Was that firelight? The glow flickered, and you breathed a sigh of relief. Finally... There was human life in this godforsaken forest. You glanced around, once again taking in the misty forest ground. Canopy completely blocked out the sunshine, leaving you vulnerable in the almost absolute darkness. Stumbling towards the fire, you stopped to lean against a tree, a mere stone's throw away from it.

Two lithe figures sat around the flames, slender bodies pronouncing them female. They looked to be no more then 16. What were two teenagers doing in the middle of this dark, damp forest? A forest where birds shrieked out elongated calls, creatures of the night issuing unearthly bellowsÂ… By the fire's flickering glow, both were dressed simply, one in a white gown, the other cloaked in swathes of black. Yet if you stared towards the cloaked femme... Certain things marked her 'different'. Her face was pale, her eyes rimmed darkly with black. They stood out against almost white skin, like two pits. But strangest were her eyes... They were not brown, black, nor green, or blue. Blood red optics stared unseeingly towards the fire, cat-like slits for pulpits dilating with the light. Streaks of black were smeared down her cheeks, looking like dripping mascara. With a strangled cry, you leapt backwards; she was not human. Falling heavily backwards, twigs snapped and dry leaves crumbled beneath you.

The gowned femme stood slowly, eyes of Prussian blue staring back into your feared ones. The cloaked one isn't human, you scream silently to yourself. Run, run, who knows what else is not human! Staring fearfully towards the female, limbs numb. Feathery wings sprouted from her back, and you gasped. She was an angelÂ… No. Wings were not the white you would think of when you say 'angel'... Stained and rough, they were still held high, the look on her face stating pride. "Vixen... We have company," she said quietly, eyes fixed upon you. Tearing your eyes from her, you stare towards the cloaked femme, willing, pleading, and forcing your legs to move. They didn't. Left lying on the forest floor helplessly, you watched the one dubbed Vixen rise to her feet. Hood was thrown back, wild locks of raven black framing face, and falling to lap waist in a curtain of black. Blood-red lips parted... No, they were not blood red... They were blood. Blood dripped steadily from open lips, oozing slowly down her neck. "Join us for dinner, human," she whispered, before lunging forward. A scream erupted from your throat, quickly cut off as fangs sank into your neck. Life ebbing away fast, you lift your head drunkenly to stare towards the winged femme. She was grimacing quietly.

"Vixen, you disgust me." Empty blackness enveloped your senses, and the last thing you hear is a soft echoing laugh.

[ Hope - f a l l e n a n g e l ]

As sunlight filters through the thick canopy of looming trees, her hair is transformed into a light hazel color. Usually kept fairly clean, it reached to curve around midriff in a curtain of chocolate-brown. Protruding from shoulder blades was a set of two wings, once pure white, yet now they were stained. However, the young woman held them up with pride; was she not an angel, exiled or not? Eyes were of a deep Prussian blue, often acting as a window to the soul inside, for it sparkled when she felt contentness, and clouded if fury coursed through her veins.

Hope's life can be explained with one word; 'enigmatic'. She feeds off the fear that pounds through one's body, as a vampire feeds off blood, yet she detests killing of the mortal. As a [fallen] angel, she feels slight jealousy towards the humans who pocess the one thing she has a hard time finding; happiness. Kindness is not a priority in her mind, only showing sympathy towards the gryphon that resides at her side, dubbed Blade.

[ Vixen - v a m p i r e s s ]

An unaturally cold wind swept through the forest, sending a chill up every the necks of every mortal within sight. They felt it; She was hungry. A dark figure could be made out among the shadows. slowly but gracefully, it turned around. Blue, brown, green, hazel eyes were naught. But stared out from beneath the shadows of its lithe and nigrescent hair were two eyes of phosphorescent red. They seemingly told of the bloody past present and future of this malevolent vampiress. Slowly, she descended with assuredness, her arms raised limply; reaching. Abruptly the vampiress stopped, a chilling silence filled the air. Forthiwith she lunged forward, the hems of her black attire disintegrated into a mass of bats, their high pitched screeches echoed through the forest. Her movements so velocious, the next moment there could only be seen the vampiress draped over a large, fallen carcass, blood ejaculating down her cadaverous skin. Tardily, the vampiress arose, splurging the blood that hadn't yet been consumed. Her tongue fondled the blood that had spilt over her pale, slender fingers, osculating the blood that dabbled her spectral face.

Raven black hair frames a lurid face where there appears blood flows naught, save for her pursed lips which appeared to be entirely blood, the vampiress was entitled Vixen.

Hm, replaced the RP section with a new bit of stuff, and I did a picture of Cerberus on Paint. I'm going to upload it and put it up in a sec. Once again, steal it/claim it to be your own/edit it in any way, and I will personally hunt you down and stake you until you plead for death. That is, after I let Cerberus himself deal with your wretched wretched eyeballs. Got it? .n.o.v.e.m.b.e.r.2.7.[8:31.am]
